It can also help owners take along older, blind, injured, or post-surgery pets that cannot walk comfortably. A brief acclimation period can help a pet get used to riding in the carrier.

What pets is the TOMKAS Classic sling made for?

The TOMKAS Classic carrier is sized for small pets in the 3–10 lb (1.4–4.5 kg) weight range. Its medium size and carrying design are intended for pets such as Chihuahuas and Yorkshire Terriers, as well as other small animals. The fabric is selected for a soft feel, with a thickness intended to provide a reassuring place for a pet to sit.

Medium size in Grey.

Suitable for carrying a small pet close to the wearer.

How does the safety tether work?

Attach the TOMKAS sling’s safety buckle to the leash buckle on your pet’s vest or harness. The tether is designed to help stop a pet from jumping out; never attach it to a collar, since a sudden jump could hurt the pet’s neck. The safety belt can be moved to change the carrier’s capacity, and the snaps press together to help close the opening.

Use with a vest or harness attachment point.

Do not fasten the tether to a collar.

What can the pocket and strap hold or adjust?

The TOMKAS Classic has a front pocket for small items such as keys, cards, waste bags, a wallet, treats, or a leash. Its shoulder strap does not adjust in length and has no plastic adjustment buckle, so it is not designed to change the carrying length for different wearers.

Durable hardware and snaps.

Tough stitching made to resist cracking.

This sling is suited to owners who want to carry a small dog or cat during everyday outings, including when a pet needs help getting around.
