For training, a whistle offers a distinct cue that can be used across different distances. The ACME Alpha 210.5 is intended for handlers who want a consistent signal for smaller dogs, including when a partner, family member or dog walker also uses a whistle. Its standardized tone is designed to help a dog recognize the call whoever is blowing it, while the sound chamber design focuses on producing a bright signal with efficient use of air.

How does the ACME Alpha 210.5 create its training sound?

Its patented sound chambers use air more efficiently to produce a brighter whistle sound. The whistle maintains a standardized frequency of 5700Hz, giving the dog a consistent tone to learn and recognize. The product is rated at 110 dBA, and ACME developed it over four years in collaboration with World Champion dog trainers.

• The same standardized frequency can help keep the cue consistent across different handlers.
• The lime green color identifies this whistle visually.

How far away can it be used, and which dogs is it for?

The whistle has an approximate range of 100 yards and is preferred for Spaniels, Cockapoos, Dachshunds and smaller breeds. Its stated range makes it suited to training cues both nearby and over distance, rather than only for close-up use. The standardized frequency is intended to make the call recognizable even when different people blow the whistle.

• Suitable for handlers who share whistle use with a partner, family member or dog walker.
• The frequency is standardized so the dog can hear a consistent cue across different whistle colors.

What is the grip and material like?

The whistle is made from BPA-free plastic to food-grade standards and has an all-over ergonomic grip. ACME designed the grip to feel soft in the mouth and to support handling in all conditions. The whistle is weatherproof, making it suitable for use in changing weather during training.

• Its pealess design has no ball and no cork.
• Made in the UK and rigorously tested by specialists with more than 150 years of experience.

What are the ACME Alpha 210.5’s size and weight?

The whistle weighs 0.013 lb (6 g) and measures 3 inches (7.8 cm) long, 0.5 inches (1.3 cm) wide and 0.5 inches (1.3 cm) high. These compact dimensions make it a small, lightweight whistle to handle during training.
