When a coat sheds, loose hair can be difficult to manage with a general grooming routine. This rake is made for sessions where the goal is to remove undercoat and loose hair, particularly for shedding breeds. Its purpose is focused: support deshedding while keeping attention on the topcoat, with a handle shaped for sustained use by salon groomers or at-home pet groomers.

What does the Andis rake do for shedding coats?

The Andis rake is designed to lift out undercoat and loose hair, and its deshedding claim is a reduction of up to 90% while maintaining a damage-free topcoat. That makes it relevant for grooming routines aimed at managing shedding rather than simply smoothing the visible coat. The stated recommendation is for shedding breeds.

• Use case: removing undercoat and loose hair.
• Coat focus: deshedding while preserving the topcoat.

Is this rake suited to extended grooming sessions?

Yes. The Andis rake has an ergonomic handle intended for all-day salon use. This makes its handle design relevant to groomers who hold a grooming tool across extended work, as well as pet owners incorporating coat care into a regular routine. The product is a rake for deshedding, not a general-purpose grooming brush.

• Handle design: ergonomic.
• Intended setting: salon grooming.

Who is the Andis Premium Fine-Tooth Deshedding Rake for?

It is recommended for shedding breeds and for people seeking a tool specifically for undercoat removal. The fine-tooth rake format identifies its grooming focus, while the black color identifies the product’s finish. Choose it for coat care centered on removing loose hair and undercoat; its stated purpose is not trimming or styling.

• Product type: deshedding rake.
• Color: black.

The Andis Premium Fine-Tooth Deshedding Rake is suited to groomers and pet owners caring for shedding breeds, especially when undercoat removal is the priority. Its defining combination is a fine-tooth rake for deshedding and an ergonomic handle intended for extended salon use.
