Ankilo Dog Snuffle Mat, 15.4-Inch Felt Wool for Small Pets, Non-Slip and Washable

Ankilo is a treat-hiding snuffle mat that gives small and medium pets a way to forage by scent on a 15.4 x 15.4-inch (39.1 x 39.1 cm) mat made with felt and soft shaker wool.

• Non-slip bottom fabric — helps keep the mat from shifting during play.
• Soft felt and shaker wool — provide a gentle surface for your pet’s nose.
• Space to hide snacks — encourages sniffing and foraging.
• Machine washable and foldable — makes cleaning and storage easier.
• Designed for small and medium pets — large pets may find the mat relatively small, and large aggressive chewers are not recommended.

For pets that eat quickly or need an activity at home or while travelling, this mat turns treats into a scent-finding task. Your pet searches for hidden snacks rather than eating them straight from a bowl, using its nose and attention as it explores the mat.

What does the Ankilo snuffle mat help pets do?

The Ankilo snuffle mat gives pets a place to sniff out hidden treats and practise foraging. The focused search engages their sense of smell and is designed to exercise their brains and use energy. Ankilo’s activity claim equates 10 minutes of sniffing with an hour of walking. The mat is also designed to encourage slower eating and help prevent digestive problems.

• The surface comes in yellow, red and blue.
• Hide a variety of snacks for a longer sniffing activity.

What pets and size is this mat suited to?

The Ankilo mat measures 15.4 x 15.4 inches (39.1 x 39.1 cm) and is best suited to small dogs, medium pets and kittens. The compact size may feel small for larger pets, while large dogs that chew aggressively are not recommended for this mat.

• Small breeds such as Chihuahuas and Pomeranians are given as examples of suitable dogs.
• The non-slip underside is designed to reduce movement while your pet plays.

How do you introduce and care for the Ankilo mat?

For a first session, place your puppy’s favourite snacks in the mat and guide them toward the hidden treats. If your dog tries to tear the mat, redirect them to appropriate use. Put the mat away after each session to help keep the activity engaging. It can be washed in a washing machine and folded to fit into a storage bag for portability.

• Use treats to show your pet how to forage on the mat.
• Machine washing provides a way to clean the mat after use.

The Ankilo snuffle mat suits owners looking for a portable, washable foraging activity for a small or medium pet, including kittens. Its square, foldable design offers a defined space for scent-based treat searching, rather than a toy intended for large aggressive chewers.
