For walks, a harness that distributes pulling pressure across the chest can help reduce the strain a collar may place on the neck. This step-in vest style is part of Bark Appeal’s harness range for dogs of different sizes; this option is XS. The adjustable design and soft mesh are made for everyday pet-walking needs.

How should I choose the right XS fit?

Measure your pet carefully with Bark Appeal’s sizing and measuring guide before choosing this harness. Weight alone does not give an accurate fit, so use measurements rather than weight as your sizing reference. Bark Appeal has updated its sizing, and a pet’s size can also change over time.

• Measure again even if you have bought a Bark Appeal harness before.
• Use the current guide to select the XS option for your pet.

How does this harness help reduce neck strain?

The harness distributes pulling pressure across the chest instead of concentrating it on the neck. This is the design feature behind its anti-choke purpose, and Bark Appeal notes that it is vet recommended. Its neck-pressure approach is intended for dogs and cats, but the selected size still needs to suit the individual pet.

• Step-in vest design for harness-style walking.
• Chest-spread pressure when a pet pulls on the harness.

What features help secure the harness?

An adjustable strap works with a heavy-duty buckle clip and sturdy D-rings. Together, these features provide adjustable fit and leash-attachment points. The harness is made from soft, breathable mesh, making its construction distinct from a neck-only collar.

• Adjustable strap for fitting the harness.
• Buckle clip and D-rings for fastening and leash attachment.
