For a flat-faced dog that needs a muzzle during grooming, veterinary visits or other situations where biting, chewing or licking needs to be inhibited, fit and gradual introduction matter. This BARKLESS muzzle is designed for short snouts, and the size range helps owners compare their dog’s head measurement before choosing.

Which dogs does the BARKLESS muzzle fit in Size L?

Size L is intended for dogs with a head circumference of 17–18.5, including French Bulldogs and six-month-old English Bulldogs. It is not designed for Boxers, Pitbulls or Chihuahuas. Measure your dog twice and select a size strictly according to the head-circumference range on the size chart; the correct fit is essential.

• Measure your dog’s head circumference before selecting a size.
• Use the size chart or video as a measuring guide.

Can a dog breathe, drink and eat while wearing it?

Yes. The three-hole design provides a wider view and supports smooth breathing, while the muzzle allows drinking and feeding. The dog’s tongue can extend to dissipate heat without exposing the mouth, helping prevent accidental ingestion. The design helps inhibit biting, chewing and licking, making the muzzle suitable for grooming and veterinary visits.

• Three openings support visibility and airflow.
• Designed to allow drinking and feeding while worn.

How do you introduce and clean the BARKLESS muzzle?

Introduce it patiently with treats and appropriate training techniques, since a dog unfamiliar with muzzles may initially resist or try to remove it. Consistent, patient training can reduce resistance and support behavior correction. Read the included detailed instruction manual before use. For cleaning, rinse the muzzle with water to remove food residue, soil and other dirt.

• Use treats and patient, consistent training during introduction.
• Rinse with water to clean; the material is soft and breathable.

This muzzle suits owners of flat-faced dogs who need a muzzle for handling situations such as grooming or veterinary visits and can take time to introduce it positively. Choose based on the dog’s measured head circumference, because Size L is intended for the stated range and not for every breed. Its short-snout design, three-hole construction and included use instructions make it a fit-focused option for brachycephalic dogs.
