A muzzle can help owners manage everyday situations that call for extra care, including introducing a rescue dog to social settings, routine handling or encounters that may trigger reactive behaviour. The Baskerville Ultra is designed to let dogs pant and drink while wearing it, so it can be used for daily walks and longer periods of wear. Its adjustable shape and multiple fastening points address fit and security as part of that practical use.

Can a dog pant and drink while wearing the Baskerville Ultra?

Yes. The Baskerville Ultra’s patented humane design allows a dog to pant and drink while muzzled. This feature supports use during walks and longer wear, including situations where a dog needs to remain muzzled while being handled or introduced to a new environment. The design was developed by Dr. Roger Mugford with fit and the dog’s comfort in mind.

• Suitable for daily walks as well as longer periods of wear.
• Can be used during careful socialization of a new rescue dog.

How do I fit Size 3 to different nose shapes?

Size 3 is one of six available Ultra Muzzle sizes, and the muzzle can be heat-shaped with warm water to suit different nose shapes. This mouth-guard-style shaping method is intended to help customize the fit, including for shorter-nosed breeds such as Boxers. Use the fitting guide to identify the appropriate size for your dog; Size 3 is the specific size on this product page.

• Warm water is used to shape the muzzle.
• The range includes small, medium and large dog muzzle sizes.

Can the muzzle help with training and secure handling?

The Baskerville Ultra can be used while training a reactive dog around other dogs, people or unfamiliar situations such as a vet visit. Owners can reward their dog with treats during training. Its Thermo Plastic Rubber construction is designed to help prevent bites, while the padded straps and fastening options support a secure fit during handling.

• Three fastening features: a lockable neck strap clip, a headstrap and a collar attachment.
• No metalwork rests on the dog’s face.

This muzzle is suited to owners who need a pant- and drink-compatible option for walks, training, socialization or careful handling, including owners of short-nosed dogs. It combines warm-water fit shaping, padded straps and multiple attachment points in a Size 3 design.
