BENCMATE Inflatable Dog Cone Collar Alternative, Medium+ Flag, Adjustable Recovery Collar

BENCMATE Inflatable Dog Cone Collar is a soft, inflatable recovery collar designed to help keep dogs from licking or biting wounds, with an inner air bag and an adjustable closure.

• Inflatable donut shape — creates a soft barrier around the neck to help protect surgical sites and injured areas.
• Two fabric options — choose plush, soft-touch fabric or a stretchy, scratch-resistant option.
• Open field of vision — lets dogs see while wearing the collar.
• Inner fixation straps and a hook-and-loop closure — help secure the collar and adjust its fit.
• Deflates for storage — takes up less space when it is not in use.

After surgery or an injury, dogs may need a barrier that discourages licking and biting without blocking their view. This inflatable recovery collar is made for that purpose, while its soft construction also allows dogs to eat, drink, sleep, and play while wearing it. The title identifies this version as Medium+; measuring your dog’s neck circumference before choosing a size helps guide fit.

How does the BENCMATE collar help protect a dog after surgery?

The inflated collar forms a cushion-like barrier around the dog’s neck to help prevent access to an injured area or surgical site. Its inner air bag provides neck support, and the collar is designed to help protect wounds and support recovery. Unlike a traditional Elizabethan collar that can obstruct a dog’s view, this design leaves the field of vision open.

• Dogs can eat, drink, sleep, and play while wearing the collar.
• The soft collar can also serve as a neck pillow, intended to help a dog settle to sleep and ease wound discomfort.

What fabric options does this recovery collar have?

BENCMATE offers a plush, soft-touch fabric option in solid colors and a colorful option made with stretchy, anti-stick, scratch-resistant fabric. The outer material is also described as bite-resistant, scratch-resistant, and non-stick. The fabric choice changes the feel and surface properties, while both options form part of the inflatable collar design.

• Unzip the outer cover to remove it for cleaning.
• A zipper opening on one side provides access to the inner air bag.

How do you adjust and secure the BENCMATE collar?

For the Medium+ version, measure your dog’s neck circumference before selecting the collar. Thread the dog’s everyday collar through the recovery collar’s inner fixation straps to help hold it in place, then adjust the hook-and-loop closure for a closer fit. Position the closure at the back of the dog’s neck to make it harder for the dog to bite.

• If the recovery collar is loose or slips off, loop the dog’s everyday collar together with it to help prevent it from falling off.
• The hook-and-loop closure is designed to make the collar easier to put on and take off.

How does the collar store between uses?

Release the air to deflate the collar before putting it away; deflated, it can be stored in a small space. The opening on the side provides access for deflation as well as the inner air bag.

• Inflate it again when it is needed as a recovery barrier.
• Keep the cover and inner air bag together when storing the collar.

This collar suits dog owners looking for an inflatable barrier for post-surgery or wound protection that does not block a dog’s view. Measuring neck circumference and securing the collar through the inner straps helps with fit, while the deflatable design supports compact storage between uses.
