BENCMATE Inflatable Dog Cone Collar Alternative, Medium+ Grey, Adjustable Recovery Donut

BENCMATE’s Medium+ grey inflatable dog cone is a soft, adjustable recovery collar designed to help keep dogs from licking or biting injured areas and post-surgery sites, with an inflatable inner air bag and a cushioned donut shape.

• Inflatable donut barrier — helps block access to wounds and surgical sites.
• Open sightlines — lets dogs see while wearing the collar.
• Adjustable hook-and-loop closure — makes the collar easier to put on and tighten.
• Internal fixation straps — let you thread a dog’s everyday collar through to help secure the recovery collar.
• Deflates for storage — takes up less space when it is not in use.

After surgery or an injury, preventing licking and biting can be part of protecting the affected area. This inflatable collar is designed as an alternative to a traditional Elizabethan collar, with a soft outer cover and a padded shape around the neck. Its open design is intended to leave a dog’s vision unobstructed during everyday activities.

How does the BENCMATE collar help protect a recovery area?

The inflated ring forms a barrier around the dog’s neck to help prevent access to an injured area or surgical site. It is designed to help protect against licking and biting, supporting care during recovery from surgery or wounds. Unlike a conventional cone that blocks some of a dog’s view, this collar leaves sightlines open.

• Made for post-surgery and wound recovery use.
• Designed to allow eating, drinking, sleeping, and playing while worn.

What is the collar made of, and how is it cleaned?

BENCMATE offers two outer-cover fabric options: a plush, soft-touch fabric for solid-color styles and a stretchy, anti-stick, scratch-resistant fabric for colorful styles. The cover unzips and comes off for cleaning; the listing does not provide a specific washing method.

• The collar has an inner air bag beneath the outer cover.
• The padded collar can also serve as a neck pillow.

How do you secure and adjust the recovery collar?

Thread your dog’s regular collar through the fixation straps inside the BENCMATE collar, then fasten and adjust the hook-and-loop closure. Place the closure at the back of the dog’s neck to make it harder for the dog to bite it.

• If the collar feels loose or slips off, looping the everyday collar together with the recovery collar may help keep it in place.
• Deflate the collar for compact storage when it is not being used.

How do you choose the right size?

Measure your dog’s neck circumference before choosing the Medium+ size, so you can compare your dog’s measurement with the sizing options available. The product details do not give a numeric neck range for Medium+.

This collar suits dog owners looking for an inflatable, adjustable alternative to a rigid recovery cone after surgery or an injury. It is intended to help limit access to the affected area while leaving a dog’s vision open, and its deflatable design makes it easier to store between uses.
