BENCMATE Inflatable Dog Cone Collar Alternative, Medium+ Plaid, Adjustable Post-Surgery Recovery

BENCMATE’s Medium+ inflatable dog cone collar alternative is designed to help protect a dog’s wounds after surgery, with an inflatable inner air bag and a plaid, stretchy outer fabric.

• Inflatable neck barrier — helps limit licking and biting at an injured area.
• Plaid outer fabric — made with stretchy, scratch-resistant, anti-stick fabric.
• Donut-shaped neck support — leaves a dog’s vision unobstructed.
• Inner fixation straps and a hook-and-loop closure — let you adjust and secure the collar.
• Zip-off outer cover and deflatable design — make removal and compact storage possible.

After surgery or an injury, dogs may need a barrier that helps keep them from reaching a sensitive area. BENCMATE’s inflatable collar is made for that purpose while allowing a dog to see around them, rather than having their view blocked by a traditional Elizabethan collar. The Medium+ plaid option combines an inflatable inner bag with a soft outer cover.

How does the collar help protect a wound?

The inflatable collar forms a padded barrier around the neck that is designed to prevent a dog from biting or licking an injured area or surgical site. It is intended for use after surgery or when wounds need protection, and is designed to help protect against injuries, rashes, and post-surgery wounds while supporting recovery. Its soft outer material provides gentle contact around the neck.

• Made as an alternative to a traditional Elizabethan collar.
• Designed for use around injured areas and surgical sites.

Can a dog see, eat, and rest while wearing it?

Yes, the collar is designed to leave a dog’s vision unobstructed while providing neck support. Dogs can eat, drink, sleep, and play while wearing it. The collar can also serve as a neck pillow, and is intended to help a dog settle for sleep and ease wound discomfort.

• The inflatable inner bag provides neck support.
• The outer material is soft to the touch.

How do you secure it and choose a fit?

BENCMATE recommends measuring your dog’s neck circumference before choosing a size. The inner fixation straps let you thread your dog’s everyday collar through the recovery collar, while the hook-and-loop closure allows the fit to be adjusted. Position the closure at the back of the dog’s neck to help prevent chewing on it.

• If the recovery collar is loose and slips off, loop it together with your dog’s everyday collar.
• Medium+ is the size name for this option; measure your dog’s neck to guide your choice.

How do you remove the cover and store the collar?

Unzip the opening on one side to remove the outer cover. The collar can be deflated for storage, so it takes up less space when it is not in use. The plaid option uses anti-stick, scratch-resistant, stretchy fabric.

• A zipper opening provides access to the removable cover.
• Deflation allows the collar to be stored in a smaller space.

This collar suits dog owners looking for a neck-worn barrier during recovery that does not block their dog’s vision and can be adjusted using the dog’s everyday collar. Measure neck circumference before choosing; the Medium+ plaid option is an inflatable collar with a removable outer cover.
