BENCMATE Inflatable Dog Recovery Collar Alternative, Medium+, Clear-Sightline Comfort

BENCMATE Inflatable Dog Cone Collar Alternative After Surgery Medium+ is an inflatable recovery collar with an inner air bag, designed to help protect a dog’s injured area or surgical site.

• Inflatable donut shape — creates a soft barrier around the neck.
• Unblocked sightline — lets dogs eat, drink, sleep, and play while wearing it.
• Two fabric options — choose plush soft-touch fabric or stretchy, scratch-resistant fabric.
• Adjustable fastening — helps secure the collar around your dog’s neck.
• Removable cover and deflation — make cleaning and compact storage more convenient.

After surgery or an injury, dogs may try to lick or bite the affected area. This collar is made to provide a protective alternative to a traditional Elizabethan collar while keeping the dog’s vision clear. BENCMATE recommends measuring your dog’s neck circumference before choosing a size.

How does the collar help protect an injured area?

The inflatable collar is designed to help prevent dogs from biting or licking wounds and surgical sites. Its rounded shape sits around the neck as a soft buffer, and the material provides gentle contact. It is intended for use after surgery or when a dog has an injury, rash, or wound that needs protection.

• The inner air bag provides support around the neck.
• The collar is designed to help protect affected areas while they recover.

Can a dog see and move while wearing it?

Yes. Unlike a conventional E-collar that can block a dog’s vision, the BENCMATE collar is designed to leave the sightline open. Dogs can eat, drink, sleep, and play while wearing it, and the soft collar can also serve as a neck pillow.

• The donut-style design surrounds the neck rather than extending across the face.
• The soft outer material is intended to make resting more comfortable.

How do I fit and secure the Medium+ collar?

Measure your dog’s neck circumference before selecting a size, then thread the dog’s everyday collar through the fixation straps inside the recovery collar. Adjust the hook-and-loop closure for fit and position the closure at the back of the neck to make it harder for the dog to bite.

• If the recovery collar is loose and slips off, loop the everyday collar together with it.
• The hook-and-loop fastening makes the collar easier to put on and remove.

Which fabric option and storage features does it have?

BENCMATE offers a plush, soft-touch fabric option in solid colors and a stretchy, anti-stick, scratch-resistant option in colorful designs. The outer cover unzips for removal, and the collar can be deflated when you need to store it in a smaller space.

• A zipper opening is located on one side of the collar.
• The two fabric options differ in texture and finish.

This collar is suited to dog owners seeking a recovery collar that helps discourage access to an injured area without blocking the dog’s view. Its inner air bag, neck-positioned shape, and adjustable attachment provide the main features for that use.
