BENCMATE Inflatable Dog Recovery Collar, Medium Donut Cone Alternative for Post-Surgery Care

BENCMATE Medium Inflatable Dog Cone Collar Alternative is a donut-shaped recovery collar designed to help keep dogs from licking or biting injured and surgical areas while leaving their vision unobstructed.

• Inflatable donut shape — forms a soft barrier around the neck.
• Unobstructed vision — lets dogs see while wearing the collar.
• Two outer-cover fabric options — choose plush fabric or stretchy, scratch-resistant fabric.
• Adjustable hook-and-loop closure and inner fixation straps — help secure the collar around your dog’s neck.
• Deflates for storage — takes up less space when not in use.

After an operation or injury, a dog may need a barrier to discourage access to a healing area. This recovery collar is made for that purpose, with a soft, neck-supporting design that does not cover the dog’s field of view like a traditional Elizabethan collar. It is intended to let dogs continue everyday activities, including eating, drinking, sleeping, and playing, while wearing a protective collar.

How does the collar help protect an injured area?

The inflatable collar sits around the neck as a cushioned barrier that can help prevent a dog from biting or licking an injury or surgical site. Its shape provides neck support without blocking the dog’s sight, making it suitable for post-surgery and wound-care use. The soft outer material is designed to be gentle against your pet.

• Designed for use around injured areas and surgical sites.
• May also serve as a neck pillow; the design is intended to help dogs settle to sleep and ease wound discomfort.

Which fabric option should I choose?

BENCMATE offers a plush, soft-touch cover in solid-color options and a stretchy cover in colorful options. The colorful fabric is described as anti-stick and scratch-resistant, while the plush option provides a soft-touch feel. Both options have a removable outer cover that can be taken off by unzipping it for cleaning.

• Solid-color option: plush, soft-touch fabric.
• Colorful option: stretchy, anti-stick, scratch-resistant fabric.

How do you secure and store the collar?

Thread your dog’s everyday collar through the fixation straps inside the recovery collar, then adjust the hook-and-loop closure for fit. Position the closure at the back of your dog’s neck to make it harder for them to bite at it. The collar has a zipper opening on one side and can be deflated when you want to put it away.

• If the recovery collar is loose and slips off, looping your dog’s regular collar through it may help keep it in place.
• Remove the outer cover through its zipper opening for cleaning.

How should I choose the medium size?

Measure your dog’s neck circumference before choosing the medium collar. A neck measurement helps you assess fit before purchase; adjust the closure to suit your dog once the collar is on.

This collar is suited to dog owners seeking a soft, inflatable barrier for post-surgery or injury care that preserves the dog’s view and supports everyday movement. It is a recovery collar for helping limit access to healing areas, rather than a replacement for veterinary guidance about wound care.
