Boyd Enterprises Chemi-Pure Blue Aquarium Filter Media, 5.5 oz Ready-to-Use Carbon and Resin Blend

Boyd Chemi-Pure Blue is aquarium filtration media designed to help clear toxins, phosphates, and metals, with 5.5 oz (156 g) of extruded carbon and ion-exchange resins in a nylon bag.

• Extruded carbon and ion-exchange resins — combine two filtration media types in one product.
• Designed to clear toxins, phosphates, and metals — supports aquarium water clarity and chemical balance.
• Moist-packed media — reduces carbon dust and helps protect resin beads from drying and becoming brittle.
• Ready to use in a filter or sump — add the bag directly without preparation.
• Packaged moist for shelf stability — helps preserve the media’s chemical stability before use.

Aquarium water can benefit from filtration media intended to address unwanted substances while supporting clarity and chemical balance. Chemi-Pure Blue brings carbon and ion-exchange resins together in a contained bag, making it suited to aquarium hobbyists who want a ready-to-use option for a filter or sump.

What is Chemi-Pure Blue designed to do?

Boyd Chemi-Pure Blue is made to help clear toxins, phosphates, and metals from aquarium water. Its extruded carbon and ion-exchange resins provide the filtration media, while the nylon bag keeps the media together for placement in a filter or sump. This combination is intended to support water clarity and chemical balance.

• Contains extruded carbon alongside ion-exchange resins.
• Supplied in a nylon bag for filter or sump use.

Why is the filtration media packed moist?

Boyd Chemi-Pure Blue is packed moist to help keep the media in usable condition before it goes into an aquarium. Moisture reduces carbon dust, which makes the media cleaner to handle and less likely to cloud water during use. It also helps preserve the structure of resin beads, which can become brittle when dried.

• Moist packaging helps limit dust and carbon breakage.
• Maintaining moisture helps prevent premature resin degradation or loss of efficiency before use.

How do you use Chemi-Pure Blue, and what comes in the pack?

Place the Boyd Chemi-Pure Blue nylon bag directly into an aquarium filter or sump; no preparation is needed. The pack contains 5.5 oz (156 g) of filtration media, so it is a contained, ready-to-use format rather than loose carbon and resin to prepare separately.

• Pack quantity: 5.5 oz (156 g).
• Use location: an aquarium filter or sump.
• Preparation: none required before placement.

Chemi-Pure Blue suits aquarium keepers looking for a convenient way to add carbon and ion-exchange resins to a filter or sump, with media packaged to reduce dust and protect the resin beads. Its defined use is aquarium filtration for water clarity and chemical balance.
