Carhartt Dog Car Seat Cover Hammock, Black, Water-Repellent and Machine Washable

The Carhartt Dog Car Seat Cover Hammock protects your back seat on dog rides with 500-denier CORDURA nylon and a Rain Defender DWR finish.

• 500-denier CORDURA nylon — helps the cover stand up to claws, wet coats, muddy paws and daily wear.
• Rain Defender DWR finish — helps water and dirt bead on the surface for wipe-off cleanup.
• Hammock-style coverage — creates a barrier between the rear and front seats, with access panels for seatbelt buckles.
• Locking side zippers and seat wedges — help hold the cover in place when a dog shifts position.
• Zip-off side panels — let the cover lie flat for carrying gear when your dog is not riding.
• Machine washable — makes cleanup at home straightforward after outdoor trips.

Dogs can bring claws, mud and damp coats into a vehicle, while outdoor outings can leave gear and tools on the back seat. This rear-seat hammock is made to cover the seating area for everyday dog rides and to switch to a flat cover for cargo when the dog stays home. Its fitted layout also helps keep your dog in the rear of the vehicle rather than moving into the front-seat area.

How does the hammock help keep a dog in the back seat?

The Carhartt hammock stretches between the front and rear headrests to form a barrier between the front and back seats. Built-in seatbelt buckle access panels let passengers reach the buckles without removing the cover. The barrier is intended to help keep a dog in the rear seating area while you drive.

• Designed for back-seat use in trucks, SUVs and sedans.
• Seatbelt buckle access is built into the cover.

Will this cover fit my vehicle, and how does it attach?

The Carhartt dog car seat cover measures 53.5 x 17.5 x 13.5 in (135.9 x 44.5 x 34.3 cm) and is designed for a universal fit across most vehicles. Side-release buckles attach and release without threading or hardware. Compare the listed dimensions with your back-seat area when choosing a fit.

• Side-release buckles are used for installation and removal.
• Side panels and seat wedges help secure the fitted layout.

Can I use it when my dog is not in the car?

Yes. The Carhartt cover’s side containment panels zip off, allowing it to lie flat as a back-seat cover for groceries, camping gear or muddy tools. With the panels attached, the hammock layout provides side containment for dog rides; locking zippers connect the panels to the cover.

• Convertible between hammock mode and a flat cargo-cover layout.
• Made for carrying dogs or protecting the back seat from gear and tools.

How do I clean the Carhartt dog hammock?

The cover is machine washable in a standard home washer. Its Rain Defender DWR finish gives the surface water-resistant, dirt-resistant performance: moisture and mud bead up so they can be wiped away rather than soaking through. Carhartt has produced workwear-grade products since 1889.

• Suitable for machine washing at home.
• Made to help protect the back seat from rips, tears, spills and stains.

This cover suits dog owners who regularly travel with a pet in a truck, SUV or sedan, as well as drivers who want a flat back-seat cover for cargo when the dog stays home. Its convertible panels, buckle access and machine-washable construction make it useful for both dog rides and everyday vehicle use.
