Carhartt Firm Duck Insulated Dog Chore Coat, Port, Medium – Water-Repellent Warmth

The Carhartt Firm Duck Insulated Dog Chore Coat is a weather-resistant winter coat for active dogs, made with a 12 oz (340 g) firm-hand duck canvas shell and an insulated quilted liner.

• Water-repellent firm duck canvas — helps shield dogs from wet, windy, cold outdoor conditions.
• Quilted liner and corduroy-lined collar — add insulation and warmth for cold-weather outings.
• Adjustable neck and chest tabs with loop-lined straps — allow a tailored fit and easier on-and-off.
• Collar vent — provides extra breathability and access through the collar.
• Four chest-girth size ranges — make it easier to choose a fit for small through extra-large dogs.

Cold, wet and windy weather can make outdoor walks and active time less comfortable for dogs. This chore coat is made for dogs that spend time outside in winter conditions, with a water-repellent outer layer and insulated interior. Its workwear-inspired construction is designed for everyday outdoor use, while adjustable closures help secure the coat around the dog’s neck and body.

How does the coat protect dogs outdoors?

The Carhartt Firm Duck Insulated Dog Chore Coat combines a firm-hand duck canvas shell with weather-resistant coverage for cold, windy and wet conditions. The outer fabric is water-repellent, and the coat is designed to help protect dogs when they are active outside. Triple-needle stitching reinforces the main seams for a construction made to handle regular outdoor wear.

• Triple-needle stitching is used on the main seams.

What provides warmth in cold weather?

The Carhartt dog chore coat has a quilted liner and a corduroy-lined collar to add warmth around the dog’s body and neck. Its insulated construction is designed for cold-weather use, and the coat is described as warmer than a traditional dog puffer jacket. The collar lining also adds a soft layer where the coat sits around the neck.

• The interior uses a quilted liner.
• The collar is lined with corduroy.

How do I choose the right coat size?

Choose the Carhartt Firm Duck Insulated Dog Chore Coat by your dog’s chest girth, measured around the chest. The available size ranges are small at 16–21 in (41–53 cm), medium at 22–28 in (56–71 cm), large at 25–38 in (64–97 cm), and extra large at 30–45 in (76–114 cm). The large and extra-large ranges overlap, so compare your dog’s chest measurement with the sizing chart shown in the product images.

• Small: chest girth 16–21 in (41–53 cm).
• Medium: chest girth 22–28 in (56–71 cm).
• Large: chest girth 25–38 in (64–97 cm).
• Extra large: chest girth 30–45 in (76–114 cm).

How does the coat adjust and go on?

The Carhartt dog coat uses improved neck and chest tabs, plus loop-lined straps at the chest and waist, to adjust the fit. These closures are designed to make the coat quicker to put on and take off while helping it sit securely on dogs in the available size range. A vent in the collar adds breathability and provides access through the collar.

• Adjustments are provided at the neck and chest.
• Loop-lined straps adjust at the chest and waist.

This coat suits active dogs that need an insulated layer for outdoor time in cold, windy or wet weather, with size options based on chest girth from small to extra large. It brings a water-repellent duck canvas exterior, a quilted interior and adjustable closures together in one dog chore coat.
