Its design combines weather protection with adjustable features intended to make dressing and fit more manageable.

What protection does this dog coat provide?

The Carhartt coat combines a water-repellent outer shell with an insulated interior for cold-weather use. The firm-hand duck canvas shell is 12 ounces, and the quilted liner adds an insulating layer. The coat is designed for protection in cold and windy conditions, while the water-repellent exterior helps shield against wet weather.

• Made for outdoor use in cold, windy, and wet conditions.
• The insulated construction is warmer than a traditional dog puffer jacket.
• Triple-needle stitching reinforces the main seams.

How do I choose the right size?

Choose the size by comparing your dog’s chest girth with the stated range: this Large coat fits 25–38 inches (63.5–96.5 cm). The range is the key measurement provided for sizing, so measure your dog’s chest and compare it with the size that matches before choosing.

Other available size ranges are Small at 16–21 inches (40.6–53.3 cm), Medium at 22–28 inches (55.9–71.1 cm), and Extra Large at 30–45 inches (76.2–114.3 cm). The Large and Extra Large chest-girth ranges overlap; use the range that corresponds to the coat size you are considering.

• Small: 16–21-inch (40.6–53.3 cm) chest girth.
• Medium: 22–28-inch (55.9–71.1 cm) chest girth.
• Extra Large: 30–45-inch (76.2–114.3 cm) chest girth.

How is the coat designed for everyday wear?

The coat uses adjustable neck and chest tabs and loop-lined straps at the chest and waist to help secure it on your dog. The improved tabs are designed for quicker on-and-off, and the adjustable straps allow the fit to be changed around your dog’s body. A corduroy-lined collar adds a soft-lined detail, while the collar vent provides extra breathability and access at the neck.

The chore-coat style is intended for active dogs that need an insulated layer for outdoor conditions. The available size range extends from Small through Extra Large, while this product is the Large Carhartt Brown/Brass version. The chest-girth ranges give a concrete starting point for choosing among sizes; this Large coat is intended for a dog whose chest measurement falls within its stated range.

• Adjustable straps are provided for the chest and waist.
• The corduroy-lined collar and collar vent are integrated into the coat’s collar design.

This coat suits dog owners looking for an insulated, adjustable layer for active dogs in cold, windy, or wet outdoor conditions.
