ChokeFree is a 24-inch, non-metallic black pet shoulder collar designed to restrain pets for walks without putting pressure on the neck or airway.

• One-piece shoulder-wrap design — combines collar-like simplicity with harness-style restraint.
• Val-Lock closure — secures the collar using a D-ring and hook-and-loop, without buckles or clasps.
• Chest fit range of 8 to 28 inches (20.3 to 71.1 cm) — allows owners to choose a size based on their pet’s chest measurement.
• Leather construction with paw ornaments — gives the collar its stated material and decorative details.
• Made for easy on and off, and compatible with Paw Rider — supports straightforward use for walks.

Leash restraint can put pressure on a pet’s neck and airway, particularly when a pet pulls. ChokeFree is designed for owners seeking a walking restraint that wraps around the shoulders instead. Its shoulder-based construction is intended to avoid pressure on the neck, fore chest, and airway during restraint. The design addresses concerns about coughing or gagging associated with pressure from conventional collars or harnesses; it is a restraint design, not a treatment for a medical condition.

How does the ChokeFree collar restrain a pet?

It wraps around the pet’s shoulders and fastens with the Val-Lock closure. The closure uses a D-ring threaded through hook-and-loop material, rather than buckles or clasps, to secure the restraint. This one-piece format is designed to be easier to put on and remove than conventional neck collars and harnesses.

• Designed for walking and leash restraint.
• Combines the simple format of a collar with features of a harness.

How do I choose the right size?

Measure your pet’s chest just behind the front legs; the available size range covers measurements from 8 to 28 inches (20.3 to 71.1 cm). Add 1 inch (2.5 cm) to that chest measurement when determining the correct size. The 24-inch size is identified in the product name, so use the chest-measurement guidance to select the appropriate fit for your pet.

• Measure around the chest immediately behind the front legs.
• Add 1 inch (2.5 cm) to the measurement for sizing.

What is the collar made of, and what details does it have?

The collar has leather construction and decorative paw ornaments. This version is black and identified as non-metallic. Its shoulder wrap avoids placing restraint pressure on the pet’s neck, fore chest, and airway, which is the key distinction from restraint designs that load those areas.

• Black color.
• Attractive paw ornament details.

ChokeFree suits pet owners looking for a shoulder-based walking restraint, including those concerned about pressure from leash pulling. Its easy-on, easy-off design is intended for all pets, with sizing guidance for chest measurements from 8 to 28 inches (20.3 to 71.1 cm). It is a fit-conscious alternative to restraints that apply pressure around the neck, and it can also be used with Paw Rider.
