• Sparsely spaced pins on a flexible cushioned pad — move through dense fur while flexing softly.

• Handmade in Germany and backed by a 6-month manufacturer’s-defect warranty — brings documented origin and warranty coverage.

Dense or curly coats can trap loose undercoat and develop knots, snarls, and mats that take time to work out. The Big K is made for grooming those coats at home or in a professional setting, including Goldendoodles, Labradoodles, and Poodles. Its Large size is the version in this listing; the Big K range also comes in three sizes, including a Baby size for small dogs and hard-to-reach areas.

What coats is the Big K made to groom?

The Big K is intended for hard-to-manage, dense double coats and heavy, wavy, or curly coats. It is especially suited to doodle coats, including those of Goldendoodles and Labradoodles, as well as Poodles. The brush is designed to remove undercoat and work through tangles while maintaining the coat’s integrity, rather than cutting or damaging the hair. It also lifts the coat to add volume, making it useful for both routine coat care and grooming before a show.

• Helps remove dead, trapped undercoat with fewer strokes.
• Designed to loosen mats, snarls, knots, and burrs without tugging at the coat.
• Once-through brushing is claimed to remove twice the hair with half the effort.

How do the pins work through dense fur?

The extra-long, angled pins reach down to the bottom of the coat to catch dead hair. Their sparse spacing helps them pass through dense fur, while the flexible cushioned pad lets the pins flex softly as you brush. This setup is designed to make deshedding and dematting less strenuous for the person grooming and more comfortable for the dog, with minimal discomfort.

• The pin design reaches the undercoat rather than only brushing the surface.
• Flexible pin movement supports a smooth brushing pass through dense coats.
• Regular detangling can help the coat lie smoothly and reduce future matting.

What makes the handle easier to control?

The handle has a rubber-coated, non-slip grip for use during bathing and grooming. Its ergonomic shape is designed to reduce hand, wrist, and arm fatigue, while the brush’s extreme curved back allows added control, movement, and direction. Those features are useful for longer grooming sessions and for people brushing multiple dogs.

• Use the brush between groomer visits to maintain the coat and work through tangles.
• Regular home detangling can help avoid short trims, shave-downs, and additional dematting charges.
• Each brush is handmade in Germany and inspected from the pins to the handle.
