Picking up after a dog calls for a bag that can contain waste during everyday walks while fitting the dispenser you already use. Codirom bags are made for portable cleanup, with unscented material and a size designed for standard dispensers. Their home-compostable certification and plant-based materials offer an alternative to ordinary waste bags for shoppers who want compostability to be part of their dog-walking routine.

Are Codirom dog poop bags certified home compostable?

Yes. Codirom bags are TÜV AUSTRIA Home Compost certified and recognized by the Products Institute, and comply with ASTM D6400, EN13432 and NF T51-800:2015. They are designed to break down fully within 90 to 180 days, leaving water, carbon dioxide and nutrient-rich humus. Composting facilities can accelerate this natural process.

The certification and stated breakdown period make these bags a home-compostable choice for collecting dog waste. Codirom makes them from corn, vegetable oil and PBAT, a compostable polymer.

• Home compost certification: TÜV AUSTRIA.

Will these bags fit my poop bag dispenser?

Codirom bags measure 9 x 13 inches (22.9 x 33 cm) and are designed to fit standard poop bag dispensers, including most leash-attached or portable dispensers. Their compact rolls are easy to carry when heading out with your dog. Compare the bag dimensions with your dispenser if you use a nonstandard format.

The pack contains 270 bags in 18 rolls, with 15 bags on each roll. This roll format makes it straightforward to take a supply along for walks, while the bag dimensions provide space for dogs of all sizes.

• Compatible with standard poop bag dispensers.

How thick are the bags, and are they scented?

Each Codirom bag is 18 microns thick, described by the brand as 20% extra thick and designed to be 100% leakproof. The thickness is intended to help the bag handle waste without tearing or leaking during pickup. The bags are unscented, with no added fragrance or artificial scent.

That combination suits dog owners who prefer a neutral option for waste disposal and want a bag designed to contain messes. The stated leakproof performance is the brand’s claim; the bags are not a scented solution for masking odors.

How should I store Codirom compostable bags?
