Comfort Expression Waterproof Orthopedic Dog Bed, 30 x 21-Inch Sleeping Area

Comfort Expression’s waterproof orthopedic dog bed is designed to support large dogs as they rest, with 3-inch (7.62 cm) 28D egg-crate foam for cushioning.

• 3-inch 28D egg-crate foam — cushions your dog while supporting joints and muscles evenly.
• Four-sided wrap with broken-foam armrests — gives your dog a nest-like place to rest the head and neck.
• 30 x 21-inch (76.2 x 53.34 cm) sleeping area — provides room to move around on the bed.
• Removable cover with a waterproof backing — helps protect the foam from liquid leakage and can be machine washed.
• Oxford-cloth base with rubber particles — helps keep the bed from sliding on the floor.

Dogs that need a cushioned place to settle can benefit from a bed that combines an orthopedic-style foam base with raised, enclosing sides. This design is made for large dogs, including older dogs and dogs with arthritis or anxiety, and its nesting surface can also suit cats. The foam’s even support and surrounding armrests give pets a defined space for resting, curling up, or digging into the cushion.

How does the foam support my dog?

The bed uses soft, elastic 28D egg-crate foam to distribute support across your dog’s joints and muscles. Its padded base provides a cushioned resting surface, while the enclosed sides create a comfortable place to nest. This design is especially suited to older dogs and large dogs with arthritis or anxiety; it is made to support rest rather than diagnose or treat a condition.

• Egg-crate foam forms the main sleeping cushion.
• The bed’s padded shape provides a nesting area for dogs and cats.

How much sleeping space does the bed provide?

The sleeping area measures 30 x 21 inches (76.2 x 53.34 cm), giving your dog space to shift position. Four raised sides wrap around the resting area, and soft broken-foam armrests add cushioning around the head and neck. Compare the sleeping-area dimensions with the space your pet uses when lying down.

• Plush PV fabric covers the sleeping surface.
• The surface is described as gentle on skin, noses, and paws, and resistant to fluffing and fading.

How do I clean the cover, and will the bed stay in place?

The cover unzips for removal and supports machine washing and low-temperature drying. A lining on the back of the cover helps keep liquid from reaching the foam. Small rubber particles on the Oxford-cloth base help anchor the bed on the floor during rest or play.

• The protective lining is on the cover’s reverse side.
• The non-slip particles are attached to the Oxford-cloth bottom.

This bed suits pet owners looking for a cushioned, enclosed resting spot for a large dog, particularly an older dog that benefits from added joint and neck support. Cats can also use its nesting surface. The 30 x 21-inch sleeping area, egg-crate foam, removable lined cover, and grippy base define its fit and everyday use.
