Algae removal calls for a scraper blade suited to the aquarium surface and the scraper it is made to fit. These plastic replacement blades are intended for AquaBlade P use, with glass and acrylic safety and marine and freshwater aquarium applications at the center of their design. The pack format provides multiple replacement blades for ongoing scraper use.

What is the AquaBlade P replacement blade designed to do?

It is a plastic replacement blade for scraping algae in marine and freshwater aquariums. Its acrylic-safe design also makes it suitable for glass aquarium surfaces, giving aquarium owners a plastic blade option for routine algae removal. The blade is intended for the AquaBlade P scraper rather than being a standalone scraper.

• Product type: replacement scraper blade.
• Intended task: aquarium algae scraping.
• Surface suitability: glass and acrylic.

Which AquaBlade scrapers are these blades compatible with?

These blades are made for the AquaBlade P and are backwards compatible with previous AquaBlade units. That compatibility makes them an option for owners of earlier AquaBlade models as well as the AquaBlade P. AquaBlade is also available with a stainless steel blade as the AquaBlade M; this 30-pack is the plastic-blade version.

• Blade version: AquaBlade P plastic.
• Earlier AquaBlade units: backwards compatible.
• Alternative AquaBlade model: AquaBlade M has a stainless steel blade.

What is included in the pack?

The pack contains 30 plastic replacement blades. They are replacement parts for use with a compatible AquaBlade scraper, so the pack suits aquarium keepers who need multiple replacement blades on hand. Each blade is intended for the same algae-scraping role as the AquaBlade P plastic blade.

• Pack quantity: 30 blades.
• Blade material: plastic.

How is the AquaBlade scraper constructed?

The AquaBlade long scraper’s handle is v-grooved and inserted into the scraper head during injection molding, where pressure fuses the handle and head together. The design avoids relying on glue joints that can break down, and the scraper is molded as a solid plastic piece to keep water from entering the unit during aquarium use. With no hollow handle to hold aquarium water, the scraper does not retain water that can drip when it is removed or remain trapped and develop bacterial odors.

• The scraper handle and head are joined during molding.
• The scraper design uses virgin plastic rather than re-ground or recycled plastic.

Aquarium keepers looking for plastic replacement blades for glass or acrylic algae scraping can use this 30-pack with AquaBlade P and earlier compatible AquaBlade units. It is made for marine and freshwater aquariums, with plastic blade construction and backwards compatibility defining its fit.
