For dogs uneasy around nail grinders, nail care can be a difficult part of grooming. De' Vora’s scratch board offers another approach: encourage natural scratching as part of nail maintenance, and use the treat drawer to make practice rewarding. It is intended for at-home grooming routines and can also be used outdoors.

How does the scratch board help with nail care?

Dogs use the board by scratching its surface, which is designed to file their nails through that natural behavior. This gives owners a grooming option for dogs that fear traditional nail grinders. The board is made with multi-layered wood and bamboo construction for repeated use.

• Scratch-based nail filing, rather than a grinder-based routine.
• Wooden construction described as multi-layered and bamboo.
• Designed for nail maintenance as part of a dog’s grooming routine.

How do the treat drawer and training work?

The integrated drawer supports positive reinforcement by giving you a place to use treats while your dog learns the scratching routine. Some dogs may need initial training before they understand how to use the board, so the drawer is there to help make practice engaging. The product is designed to make nail-care practice more enjoyable for both dog and owner.

• Use treats as a reward during learning.
• Allow time for your dog to become familiar with the scratch-board routine.
• Positive reinforcement helps build an association between nail care and rewards.

Which dogs and settings is it made for?

The board is intended for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages, including puppies. Starting a scratching routine early can help establish a grooming habit and may help protect furniture from scratches. Its lightweight, portable design suits use indoors or outdoors, so practice can take place in either setting.

• Suitable for puppies as well as adult dogs.
• For indoor and outdoor nail-care practice.
• Portable for use in different places.

De' Vora Dog Nail Scratch Board is suited to owners who want to build nail maintenance around scratching and rewards, particularly when a dog is wary of nail grinders. It combines a wooden filing surface with a treat drawer in a portable board for dogs across ages, sizes, and breeds.
