Demiwise Aquarium Filter Floss, 50-Micron Cut-to-Size Pad, 24 x 36 in

Demiwise Aquarium Polishing Filter Pad is a cut-to-size, 50-micron filter floss designed to capture fine particles and help clear aquarium water, in a 24 x 36 inch sheet.

• Microfine polyester fibers capture suspended particles — helping reduce cloudy water.
• Flexible sheet can be cut to fit — adapts to different filter setups.
• Glue-, fluorescence- and chemical-free — made for use around aquarium pets.
• Washable and reusable — rinse the pad to restore filtration.
• Suitable for freshwater, saltwater and ponds — fits a range of aquatic environments.

Fine debris such as fish waste, uneaten food and algae can cloud aquarium water, especially after tank maintenance. This polishing pad is made to catch those particles as water passes through the filter, making it useful for routine filtration as well as helping restore clarity in cloudy tanks. Its cut-to-size format lets aquarists fit the media to their setup rather than rely on one fixed filter-pad shape.

What particles does the Demiwise filter pad capture?

The 50-micron filter media is designed to trap fine to extra-fine particles, including fish waste, uneaten food and algae. Its microfine polyester fibers filter suspended debris, and the multi-layer design is also intended to trap ammonia (NH₃) particles before they dissolve into the water.

• Can be used in freshwater and saltwater aquariums, as well as ponds.
• Useful when water becomes cloudy or after tank maintenance.

Will it fit my aquarium filter?

The 24 x 36 inch sheet can be cut to the size needed for your filter. It works with canister, hang-on-back (HOB), sump, wet/dry, waterfall and surface-skimmer filter setups, and is compatible with major filter brands including Fluval, Eheim and AquaClear.

• One filter pad is included.
• Cut the sheet to fit your filter; the pad can also be layered with other pads to extend cleaning time.

How do I prepare and reuse the filter floss?

Rinse the pad to restore filtration, then reuse it. The sheet arrives vacuum-compressed; use a hair dryer for 30 seconds to expand it to its full 1/8 inch thickness. Compression does not affect filtration.

• The material is soft, flexible and odorless.
• No harmful additives, glue or fluorescent agents are used.

Demiwise Aquarium Polishing Filter Pad suits aquarists looking for flexible mechanical filtration for a freshwater or saltwater tank, pond, or filter system that needs a custom-sized media sheet. It is designed to capture suspended debris rather than replace the filter itself, and its cut-to-fit format, washable construction and fine-particle filtration make it a practical choice for routine use and cloudy-water cleanup.
