Dr. Buzby's ToeGrips for Dogs, X-Small Nail Traction Grips for Slippery Floors

Dr. Buzby's ToeGrips are X-Small anti-slip nail grips designed to give dogs targeted traction on hard, slippery floors, with GripZone Technology positioned where the nail meets the floor.

• GripZone Technology targets the point where hard nails contact hard floors — helping dogs get immediate traction as they stand and walk.
• Snug nail-tip fit leaves paws untouched — a design intended for dogs that may be bothered by products on their paws.
• X-Small is designed for dogs with an ideal weight of 0–7 pounds — use the on-page weight and breed chart to find the right size.
• Veterinarian-developed and recommended by thousands of veterinarians worldwide — made with senior and special-needs dogs in mind.
• Helped more than 250,000 paws regain mobility — a nail-traction option for dogs who struggle on smooth flooring.

Smooth floors can be difficult for dogs whose footing is affected by age, arthritis, ACL injuries, bad hips, or hind-end weakness. Slipping may make a dog nervous about getting up or crossing the floor, and some dogs retreat to rugs rather than move around the home. ToeGrips are designed to provide traction at the nail-to-floor contact point, helping dogs navigate hard surfaces with more confidence.

How do ToeGrips help dogs get traction?

Each ToeGrip fits over a nail tip and acts like a small rubber cleat. Its GripZone engages the hard floor when the dog rises or walks, providing targeted traction without covering the paw.

This placement is intended to address slipping on hard-surface floors while leaving the paw itself untouched. Dr. Buzby's identifies ToeGrips as America’s #1 nail-traction solution.

• Designed for dogs with reduced confidence or mobility on smooth floors.
• May suit older dogs and dogs with arthritis, ACL injuries, bad hips, or hind-end weakness.

Is X-Small the right size for my dog?

X-Small is designed for a dog whose ideal weight falls between 0 and 7 pounds. Compare your dog’s weight and breed with the sizing chart on this page to select a size.

A correctly sized ToeGrip should fit snugly; it may not slide easily onto the nail. The goal is to position each grip at the nail tip, with the nail exposed and the lower part of the grip able to contact the floor.

• Apply ToeGrips to the nails, not the dew claws.
• Use the sizing chart’s weight and breed guidance when choosing.

How do I apply the 16 ToeGrips?

Wet all 16 ToeGrips with isopropyl rubbing alcohol, stabilize a toe, and press a grip onto the nail tip. Push the top and sides into position with your fingertips or fingernails until the nail tip is exposed.

Do not push the lower portion up the nail: it needs to reach the ground to provide traction. Repeat the process for all 16 nails, leaving the dew claws uncovered. Illustrated instructions are included in the package.

• Isopropyl rubbing alcohol is used to wet the grips before application.
• Keep the bottom portion in contact with the ground and the nail tip exposed.

ToeGrips are intended for dog owners seeking added footing on hard floors for a senior dog or one with special mobility needs. They are a nail-tip traction aid, not a paw-covering grip; X-Small is made for dogs with an ideal weight of 0–7 pounds.
