Extreme Dog Fence 14 AWG Twisted Dog Fence Wire, 30.5 m Pre-Twisted Spool for Buried Systems

Extreme Dog Fence twisted dog fence wire is a pre-twisted 100 ft (30.48 m) spool of 14 AWG wire for connecting a transmitter to an in-ground boundary loop while allowing a dog to cross the connecting route without correction.

• Pre-twisted wire — saves the work of twisting the wires during installation.
• 14 AWG core with a thick, flexible polyethylene coating — made for in-ground fence wiring.
• Direct-ground-burial rated and sunlight resistant — suited to outdoor fence layouts.
• Compatible with all brands of buried-wire electronic dog fences — works with systems including Extreme Dog Fence, Perimeter Technologies, Dogtra and DogTek.
• Can connect smaller loops to a main loop — helps create no-go zones in a yard.

Buried-wire fence layouts often need a route from the transmitter to the boundary loop, as well as boundaries around areas a dog should avoid. This twisted wire carries the signal along the connecting route without activating the collar’s correction there, so the dog can cross that route to enter or leave the fenced area. It can also be used to link a smaller exclusion loop to the main boundary.

What does the twisted wire do in a fence system?

It carries the transmitter signal to the main loop while keeping the connecting section neutral for the dog’s collar. Twisting the two wires together creates that neutral section, allowing the dog to cross the route without receiving correction. The wire is intended for buried-wire electronic dog fence systems.

• Use it between the transmitter and the main boundary loop.
• The twisted route itself does not activate collar correction.

Can it keep a dog away from specific parts of the yard?

Yes, it can connect a smaller loop to the main loop to mark an area the dog should not enter. Example uses include flower gardens, swimming pools and other yard areas you want to keep off limits. The wire can therefore serve both the transmitter-to-boundary route and smaller exclusion-loop layouts.

• Suitable for linking smaller loops with the main boundary.
• Examples of no-go zones include gardens and pools.

Will it work with my buried-wire dog fence?

Extreme Dog Fence twisted wire is compatible with all brands of buried-wire electronic dog fences. Named compatible systems include Extreme Dog Fence, Perimeter Technologies, Dogtra and DogTek, along with other brands. Its pre-twisted construction means the wire is ready for use without twisting the pair yourself.

• Pre-twisted before installation.
• For buried-wire electronic dog fence systems.

The spool has a heavy-duty core coated in thick, flexible polyethylene, and the wire is rated for direct ground burial and sunlight resistance. The brand identifies this wire as professional grade and notes that professional in-ground electric dog fence installers use the same heavy-duty wire type. The coating is designed for years of trouble-free performance.

This spool suits dog owners installing or extending a buried-wire fence who need a neutral route from the transmitter or want to form smaller yard exclusion loops. Its pre-twisted construction, outdoor-rated wire and compatibility across buried-wire fence brands make it a practical fit for those layouts.
