FANTIAN White Aquarium Sand, 9.1 kg Fine Substrate for Fish Tanks

FANTIAN 20 lb (9.1 kg) white aquarium sand is a substrate for tank bottoms, with 0.4–0.8 mm grains for a fine, bright-looking base.

• Dense composition with zero fines — helps keep the substrate from blowing around in the tank.
• Color-tested sand that will not bleed in water — keeps the white color from washing into the aquarium.
• No toxins or foreign matter — made for use around fish.
• Rinse several times before use — clears dust from the sand before it goes into the tank.
• For aquarium and decorative projects — one sand can serve as a tank base or a craft material.

A tank substrate can give the bottom of an aquarium a clean, bright appearance while creating a base suited to a range of small animal habitats. FANTIAN white sand is also intended for decorative and creative uses, so it can be considered for projects beyond the aquarium. Rinsing before use is part of preparing the sand for either a tank or a display.

What size are the grains, and how does the sand sit in a tank?

The grains measure 0.4–0.8 mm, and the dense composition is designed to help the substrate stay in place rather than blow around. Use it as a bottom layer to create a white base in the tank. The white color can bring a brighter look to the habitat and works with different décor styles.

• White aquarium substrate for tank bottoms.
• Suitable for betta habitats and tanks for ants, lizards, snakes, tortoises, and other reptilian pets.

How should I prepare FANTIAN white sand before adding it to a tank?

Wash the sand several times with water before placing it in the aquarium. Fine sand can carry some dust, so rinsing helps clear it away before the substrate is added. The color is tested not to bleed in water, and the sand has no toxins or foreign matter.

• Rinse with water a couple of times or more before aquarium use.
• Add the sand only after washing it.

What can I use this white sand for besides aquarium substrate?

FANTIAN white sand can also be used for wedding unity ceremonies, arts and crafts, hourglass refills, and sand paintings. It is also suited to decorative arrangements, including vase fillers, home accents, zen gardens, incense burner holders, candle décor, and beach-themed centerpieces.

• Materials for student sand paintings and exhibition pieces.
• Filler for bowls and the bottom of beach-themed centerpieces.
• Decorative sand for craft and home projects.

This sand suits aquarium owners looking for a white tank-bottom substrate, as well as makers and decorators who need sand for creative displays. Its uses range from animal habitats to craft and home accents, with rinsing required before aquarium use.
