• More than 50 years of retractable-leash development — reflects FLEXI’s continued product innovation.

• FLEXI offers different leash sizes and lengths — its range is made to suit dogs with different needs.

For walks when a dog benefits from some freedom to move, a retractable tape leash gives the handler a way to manage that movement. The FLEXI Classic Tape combines a compact small size with a 16 ft reach, making it suited to everyday outings where controlled extension matters. Its black finish keeps the look simple, while the brake and tape guidance systems support handling as the dog moves.

How much room does the FLEXI Classic Tape give a dog?

The small FLEXI Classic Tape extends up to 16 ft (4.9 m), giving a dog space to move while remaining connected to the handler. FLEXI makes leashes in different sizes and lengths, and this model is the small, 16 ft version. The leash is intended for walking dogs; the product details do not give a dog-weight limit, so the small size should not be treated as a stated weight rating.

• Product size: small.
• Tape length: 16 ft (4.9 m).

How do the brake and tape systems help during a walk?

A patented brake system provides control for stops and quick maneuvers, while the 360° tape guidance system supports smooth extension and retraction. FLEXI says the guidance system helps prevent the tape from tangling, so it can follow the dog’s movement with fewer interruptions. Together, these systems are designed to balance a dog’s freedom to move with the handler’s ability to guide the leash.

• Brake system: patented.
• Tape guidance: rotates through 360°.
