Bulk dry food needs a storage container that closes securely between feedings and helps limit exposure to moisture, odors, and pests. This Vittles Vault is made for storing pet food at home, including dog kibble and cat food, and can also hold other dry goods such as birdseed or goat feed. Its capacity makes it useful for bulk storage, while the food’s shape and density affect how much fits in practice.

How does the Gamma Seal help protect stored food?

The Gamma Seal uses a threaded locking system and double gaskets to form an airtight closure. The seal is designed to maintain moisture balance, lock in food flavor and odors, and help keep pests out. This closure is intended for dry-food storage, so you can open the container for feeding and close it again between uses.

• The threaded lid locks into place.
• Double gaskets form the seal.
• The closure is designed to help retain flavor and keep pests out.

How much food does the 50 lb Vittles Vault hold?

The container holds up to 50 lbs of pet food, but the amount that fits depends on kibble shape and density. For larger kibble, choose a container one or two size options above the pet-food weight; if you are unsure between sizes, round up. It can store cat food, dog kibble, birdseed, goat feed, and human food.

• Capacity: up to 50 lbs of pet food.
• Food type and kibble size affect the amount that fits.
• A scoop is included with the container.

Where can I use the Gamma2 food storage container?

Use it indoors or in a covered outdoor area; climate-controlled storage is recommended. The HDPE container is designed to resist shattering and cracking. Good to know: only the 40 lb and 60 lb Vittles Vault containers are stackable, so this 50 lb size is not one of the stackable models.
