GoodBoy Dog Head Halter, Size 2 Black, with Neoprene Padding and Safety Strap

GoodBoy Dog Head Halter is a padded neoprene headcollar designed to reduce leash pulling, with a safety strap that attaches to your dog’s regular collar.

• Durable nylon straps with strong stitching — create the adjustable structure of the headcollar.
• Reflective stitching — adds reflective detail to the straps.
• Quick-release buckle — makes the headcollar easier to put on and take off.
• Adjustable neck, side straps and noseband — help tailor the fit around your dog’s head and nose.
• Four available size ranges — let you choose by measuring your dog’s snout and neck.

Leash pulling can make walks and other situations that call for control more difficult to manage. This head halter guides a dog from around the head and nose, helping reduce the urge to pull while giving the handler steering control. It is made for leash walking and training, and is not designed to function as a muzzle.

How does the GoodBoy Dog Head Halter help with leash pulling?

The GoodBoy Dog Head Halter fits around the dog’s head and nose to provide steering control during walks and other situations where control is needed. Its headcollar design is intended to reduce pulling and prevent choking; it is not a muzzle. A metal clip under the chin adjusts the nose loop, while the safety strap connects at the back of the neck to the dog’s regular collar.

• The safety strap attaches to a regular collar rather than hanging freely.
• The black head halter is padded with soft neoprene where it contacts the dog.
• The design is intended for dogs across the listed size ranges, from small to large.

How do I choose the right size for my dog?

Choose the GoodBoy Dog Head Halter size using both your dog’s snout and neck measurements. For Size 2, the snout range is 9.7–12 in (24.6–30.5 cm) and the neck range is 12.8–17.2 in (32.5–43.7 cm). Measure the snout tightly, close to the eyes, and the neck tightly, close to the ears. Measure each area at least twice and use the smallest result; if your dog falls between sizes, choose the smaller size.

The full size guide is:

• Size 1: snout 7.7–9.7 in (19.6–24.6 cm); neck 10.8–13.2 in (27.4–33.5 cm).
• Size 2: snout 9.7–12 in (24.6–30.5 cm); neck 12.8–17.2 in (32.5–43.7 cm).
• Size 3: snout 11.6–14.8 in (29.5–37.6 cm); neck 16.8–21.1 in (42.7–53.6 cm).
• Size 4: snout 14–18 in (35.6–45.7 cm); neck 20.7–25.8 in (52.6–65.5 cm).

GoodBoy Dog Head Halter is not suitable for short-snouted breeds such as Boxers and Bulldogs, or toy dogs such as Chihuahuas. Size 1 does not have adjustable side straps; other sizes have adjustable side straps, and all sizes have adjustable neck straps and nosebands.

What is included, and how is the fit adjusted?

The GoodBoy Dog Head Halter comes with a head collar training guide. To put on the halter, use its quick-release buckle, then adjust the neck strap and nose loop for your dog. The under-chin metal clip adjusts the nose loop, and the adjustable side straps help secure the fit on sizes 2, 3 and 4.

• Strong stitching joins the nylon straps.
• The buckle releases quickly for easier removal.
• Reflective stitching is incorporated into the strap design.

This head halter suits owners looking for a head-and-nose-guidance option for leash walks, provided their dog’s snout and neck measurements match the size chart and their dog is not in the excluded short-snouted or toy-dog categories. For a correctly measured fit, it combines adjustable headcollar straps with a safety attachment to the dog’s regular collar.
