GORILLA GRIP Cat Litter Mat, 40 x 28 in Light Grey, Coiled Mesh Litter Trapping

GORILLA GRIP Cat Litter Mat is an original litter-trapping mat made to collect litter as cats leave the box, with a 28 x 40 in (71.1 x 101.6 cm) surface in light gray.

• Thick mesh coils and deep grooves — catch loose litter before it spreads across the floor.
• Textured backing — helps the mat stay in place when active cats step off the litter box.
• Water-resistant construction — helps keep liquid messes from reaching the floor.
• Climate Partner Certified; carbon footprint measured — supports initiatives that help address climate impact.
• Collected litter can be tipped back into the box — helps you reuse litter instead of discarding it with the mat’s contents.

Litter scattered around the box can mean extra sweeping and wasted litter. This mat is designed to catch the material cats track out, while also helping protect floors from liquid messes and scratching. Its surface provides a dedicated landing area beside the litter box, including a soft spot where a cat may choose to rest.

How does the GORILLA GRIP Cat Litter Mat trap litter?

The mat’s thick mesh coils grab litter from paws, and its deep top-side grooves collect loose pieces. Together, these surface features help keep litter contained on the mat rather than spread across nearby floors. The textured underside is designed to help prevent shifting as cats exit the box, including when they move actively.

• Top surface combines coiled mesh with litter-catching grooves.
• Textured backing helps the mat stay put during everyday use.

How do you recover litter and clean the mat?

Tip and pour the collected litter back into the litter box to reuse it. For litter that remains in the mat, shake it out or vacuum it; for a deeper clean, wash with mild soap and water, then air dry. The mat is water resistant and designed to keep liquids from passing through, helping shield the floor from liquid messes.

• Recover loose litter by pouring, shaking, or vacuuming.
• Deep-clean with mild soap and water; always air dry.

What makes this mat comfortable for cats and considerate of climate impact?

Its surface is described as soft and gentle on sensitive paws, and the mat can also serve as a place for an afternoon cat nap. The construction uses durable, long-lasting materials, and the mat is designed to help protect floors from scratching. Climate Partner Certified status supports initiatives that help address climate impact, with the mat’s carbon footprint measured.
