GuineaLoft Acrylic Small Pet Cage, Model-P3B 2 x 1 ft with Locking Lid

GuineaLoft Model-P3B is a fully enclosed acrylic cage for small pets and solo guinea pigs, with a 2 x 1 ft (61 x 30 cm) footprint and a locking, openable lid.

• Clear acrylic enclosure — offers a 360° view of your pet without wire-grid panels obstructing the view.
• Two-opening connector panel with sliding doors — links compatible GuineaLoft habitats using D1 tubes.
• Openable lid secured with thumb screws — provides access for feeding, cleaning, and interaction.
• Removable side panel — lets you empty bedding directly into a trash bin.
• Water-resistant disposable liner included — catches minor liquid leakage and can be reused several times.
• Acrylic walls contain bedding — help reduce scatter around the cage.

This enclosure is made for small pets that may chew or escape from ordinary cages, including hamsters, rats, gerbils, and mice. Its clear panels make it easier to observe everyday activity, while the enclosed design keeps bedding inside the habitat. The Model-P3B can also serve as a separate home for a guinea pig that needs to live alone, or as a transport cage for car trips and time outdoors.

Which pets and habitats can the Model-P3B connect with?

The Model-P3B connects with GuineaLoft Model-P4, Model-P5, Maze, and Cube habitats using D1 tubes. Its connector panel has two circular openings, each with a round sliding door: slide a door upward to leave an opening accessible, or downward to close it. Connected habitats can form a larger play area for exploration and activity.

It can also connect with Model-A, A2, or C2 cages to create expanded roaming space for small pets such as guinea pigs and button quails. D1 tubes and other accessories are not included; wheels, tubes, and hideouts are available separately.

• Two circular openings are built into the connector panel.
• Sliding doors open or close each tube opening.
• Compatible connections include Model-P4, Model-P5, Maze, Cube, Model-A, A2, and C2.

How does the enclosure provide access and visibility?

The clear acrylic walls provide an unobstructed 360° view, while the fully openable lid makes it easier to reach inside. The lid can be secured with thumb screws, and the fixed bottom completes the enclosed cage. The open view supports closer observation and interaction; familiarity with a keeper’s presence can help pets become more comfortable and responsive.

The acrylic walls also help keep bedding that pets kick around within the enclosure, unlike wire-grid sides that can let bedding scatter beyond the cage. The cage is designed to be chew-proof and escape-proof, with ventilation openings for airflow. Observe your pet’s size and flexibility: the ventilation holes measure 0.4 in (1 cm) wide by 1.6 in (4 cm) high. If your pet can fit through them, a Hole Blocker accessory can cover the openings.

• Fully openable acrylic lid with thumb-screw fastening.
• Fixed bottom and clear acrylic walls.
• Ventilation-hole dimensions: 0.4 in (1 cm) by 1.6 in (4 cm).

How do you clean the Model-P3B, and what does the bottom contain?

A side panel can be removed and reinstalled in seconds, allowing you to carry the cage to a trash bin and empty the bedding instead of scooping it out. The bottom is not sealed, so liquids may occasionally seep through even though bedding and solid waste remain contained.

A water-resistant disposable liner is included to catch minor leakage and can be reused several times before replacement. For hamsters, gerbils, mice, and rats, leakage is uncommon because bedding typically absorbs most liquids. The liner helps manage minor seepage; it does not make the bottom sealed.

• Side panel removes and reinstalls for bedding disposal.
• Included liner catches minor leakage and can be reused several times.
• Bottom is fixed and unsealed.

The Model-P3B suits keepers of small pets who want an enclosed habitat with clear visibility, contained bedding, and the option to connect compatible GuineaLoft cages. It also fits the needs of a guinea pig living alone or a small pet travelling by car or spending time outdoors. Compare your pet’s size and flexibility with the ventilation openings, and remember that the bottom is not sealed. Its 2 x 1 ft footprint, connectable panel, and removable side provide a defined space for viewing, expansion, and bedding changes.
