Gulfstream Tropical Magnetic Acrylic Aquarium Cleaner, Medium Floating Mag-Float

Gulfstream Tropical AGU130A Mag-Float is a medium magnetic aquarium cleaner for removing algae from acrylic aquariums, with a floating design that is easy to guide.

• Magnetic cleaner — helps remove algae from acrylic aquarium surfaces.
• Floating design — stays buoyant instead of sinking during use.
• Guides around corners — makes it easier to move around aquarium corners.
• Brush stays clear of sand and gravel — helps prevent scratching from these particles.
• Medium size — provides a medium-format option for aquarium cleaning.

Algae cleaning can involve moving a cleaner around the aquarium, including near corners where it may be harder to guide. The Mag-Float combines magnetic cleaning with buoyancy, so it is made for aquarium owners who want a cleaner that remains afloat as they work. Its brush design also addresses a specific concern during cleaning: sand or gravel caught against the brush can scratch the surface.

How does the Mag-Float remove algae?

The Gulfstream Tropical AGU130A uses strong attracting magnets to remove algae from acrylic aquarium surfaces. The magnetic action is the cleaning mechanism, while the medium format identifies this model within the Mag-Float range. It is intended for algae removal rather than general aquarium maintenance.

• Product type: magnetic aquarium cleaner.
• Designed for acrylic aquarium cleaning.
• Algae removal is the stated cleaning purpose.

Does this aquarium cleaner float while in use?

Yes, the Gulfstream Tropical Mag-Float is buoyant, so it floats rather than sinking. That buoyancy makes the cleaner easier to operate and helps it remain accessible while you move it around the aquarium. It can also be guided around corners without sinking, which supports cleaning along those changes in direction.

• Buoyancy keeps the cleaner afloat.
• The design is intended to be guided around aquarium corners.
• It is a medium Mag-Float model.

How does the brush help protect the aquarium surface?

The cleaning brush stays free of sand and gravel, helping prevent those particles from scratching the aquarium during cleaning. This feature is relevant when sand or gravel is present in the aquarium: keeping it away from the brush reduces the chance of particle-related scratches as the cleaner is moved.

• Brush design keeps sand and gravel away.
• Helps prevent scratching caused by those particles.
• Combines brush cleaning with magnetic operation.

The Gulfstream Tropical AGU130A Mag-Float suits aquarium owners seeking a medium magnetic cleaner for algae on acrylic aquariums, especially those who value buoyancy and a brush designed to stay clear of sand or gravel. Its floating, corner-guiding design and particle-conscious brush make it a focused choice for this cleaning task.
