Harrison Howard Horse Fly Mask, Purple, Size L, UV-Protective Breathable Mesh

Harrison Howard All Round Mesh Horse Fly Mask is a purple, size L mask designed to help protect horses from flies and UV exposure with fine, breathable mesh.

• Soft fleece-padded edges — cushion the mask against the horse’s skin.
• Generous forelock opening — leaves room for horses with a large forelock.
• Adjustable touch-and-go chin strap — secures beneath the jaw and is designed to stay in place without slipping.
• Made for summer nuisances — helps shield horses from horseflies, pollen and debris.
• Mesh provides noticeable shading and cooling — helps keep light and sunshine off the horse’s face.

Summer conditions can bring flying insects, pollen, airborne debris and direct sunshine that bother horses. This mask combines coverage from those seasonal irritants with a mesh construction that allows airflow, making it designed for horses that need face protection during the warmer months.

How does the mesh protect a horse in sunlight?

The fine mesh is designed to provide reliable UV protection while remaining breathable and non-heat-transferring. It helps shield the horse from harsh UV rays and provides shade from light and sunshine; the UV protection is also designed to help minimize the chance of skin conditions.

• Dense fine mesh forms the protective coverage.
• Breathable construction supports airflow while the mask is worn.

Will the mask accommodate a horse with a large forelock?

Yes, the opening between the ears provides room for a large forelock. Pulling the forelock through this opening lets the mask sit flat and comfortably on the horse’s head.

• The opening is positioned between the ears.
• Fleece padding along the edges is intended to reduce pressure marks on the skin.
• The padded edging also helps keep debris and flying particles from getting under the mask.

How does the fly mask stay on?

An adjustable touch-and-go strap fastens under the jaw to secure the mask. The design is intended to fit every horse and keep the mask in place without slipping.

• The chin strap adjusts for a secure fit.
• The mask is offered in size L and purple.

Horses bothered by summer flies, pollen, sunshine or loose debris are the intended wearers, especially those with a large forelock that needs room through the mask. Its fine, breathable mesh, fleece-padded edging, forelock opening and adjustable under-jaw strap bring seasonal coverage and a secure fit together in one horse fly mask.
