Hikari Herptile Mulberific Delite is a probiotic-enhanced hydrating pellet food for herbivorous turtles, tortoises and lizards, supplied in a 7.7 oz (220 g) pack.

• Mulberry leaf provides a nutrient source and improves palatability — helping make the food more appealing.
• A sponge-like texture absorbs and retains water — supporting acceptance and natural water intake.
• Low protein, high fiber and high calcium, with a 5:1 calcium-to-phosphorus ratio — a formula described as optimal for tortoises.
• A proprietary probiotic supports immune and digestive system health.
• Mulukhiya, Japanese mustard spinach and minimal grain content add to the flavor and formula.

Choosing food for herbivorous reptiles means considering both the ingredients and the way the food is presented. These pellets are made for herbivorous turtles, tortoises and lizards, with a formula that pairs leafy ingredients with a water-absorbing texture. The combination is designed to support acceptance while keeping the food’s intended use and nutritional profile clear.

What makes Mulberific Delite suitable for herbivorous reptiles?

Hikari combines mulberry leaf with mulukhiya and Japanese mustard spinach in a pellet food for plant-eating reptiles. Mulberry leaf is included as a nutrient source and to improve palatability; the additional greens and minimal grain content further contribute to flavor and formula performance.

• Intended for herbivorous turtles, tortoises and lizards.
• Named leafy ingredients include mulberry leaf, mulukhiya and Japanese mustard spinach.

How does the hydrating pellet texture work?

The pellets absorb water and retain it within a sponge-like texture. This texture is designed to improve acceptance and support natural water intake, making hydration part of the food’s format rather than relying on a dry, hard pellet alone.

• Pellet format offers a distinct food form for herbivorous reptiles.
• Water absorption and retention are built into the texture.

What is the nutritional profile and probiotic purpose?

The formula is low in protein, high in fiber and high in calcium, with a calcium-to-phosphorus ratio of 5:1 that is optimal for tortoises. It also contains Hikari’s proprietary probiotic, which supports immune and digestive system health.

• The stated calcium-to-phosphorus ratio is 5:1.
• The added probiotic is proprietary to Hikari.

Mulberific Delite is suited to keepers choosing a hydrating pellet food for herbivorous turtles, tortoises or lizards, particularly those seeking leafy ingredients and a defined calcium-to-phosphorus ratio. Its sponge-like water-retaining texture and herbivore-focused formula bring those features together in one pellet food.
