Himalayan Dog Chew Small Yak Cheese Chews, 30+ Count, Long-Lasting Treats

Himalayan Dog Chew Small Yak Cheese Chews are long-lasting chewing treats made with a traditional Himalayan cheese recipe, with 30+ chews in a 2.5-pound tub.

• 30+ small chews in a 2.5-pound tub — provides a supply of cheese chews for your dog.
• Made by artisans in Nepal using a traditional family recipe — brings a centuries-old cheese-making method to a dog chew.
• Made with yak and/or cow milk, with no preservatives, binding agents or additives — keeps the ingredients focused on cheese.
• Gluten-free and grain-free, with curing that removes lactose — suits dogs whose treats need to avoid those ingredients.
• Harder and longer-lasting than standard rawhide and bully sticks — gives dogs an extended chewing activity.

These hard cheese chews are made for dogs who enjoy working on a treat over time. Rather than breaking off immediately, a dog works at the end, softening it with its mouth before slowly chewing away small pieces. How long a chew lasts varies with the dog's size and eating habits, so the treat offers a different duration for each dog.

What size dog are the small chews best for?

The small chews are best suited to dogs weighing 15 pounds (6.8 kg) and under; the product is also intended for dogs under 70 pounds (32 kg). Choose with your dog's weight, temperament and activity level in mind, since those factors affect how a dog handles a chew.

The small format is part of a range sized in relation to a dog's weight and chewing habits. The chews are described as a way to keep even aggressive chewers occupied, with chewing, licking and hiding among the ways dogs may engage with them.

• Best for dogs 15 pounds (6.8 kg) and smaller.
• Intended for dogs under 70 pounds (32 kg).

What is in the tub, and what are the chews made from?

Each tub contains 30+ small yak cheese chews, with a total chew weight of 2.5 pounds (1.1 kg). The recipe uses yak and/or cow milk and follows a traditional cheese-making method associated with Nepal's Himalayan region.

Artisans handcraft the chews using techniques passed down through families for hundreds of years. The recipe is made without preservatives, binding agents or additives. The curing process removes lactose, and the chews are gluten-free and grain-free, with no soy or grains added.

• 30+ small chews per tub.
• Made with yak and/or cow milk.
• No preservatives, binding agents or additives.

How does a yak cheese chew keep a dog occupied?

A dog works on the hard end of the chew, gradually softening it before small pieces can be chewed off. This gradual chewing is why the treat may last for hours, depending on the dog's size and eating habits.

The cheese recipe comes from the mountains of Nepal around Mt. Everest, at elevations above 15,000 feet (4,572 m). Compared with standard rawhide and bully sticks, these chews are harder and longer-lasting; they are also described as easily digestible.

• Made using a traditional Himalayan cheese recipe.
• Designed for chewing, licking and hiding.

Himalayan Dog Chew Small Yak Cheese Chews suit people looking for a cheese-based chewing treat for a dog who enjoys working at a hard chew, especially dogs 15 pounds and under. Their size guidance, milk-based recipe and gradual chewing format make them a fit for that use, rather than a quick-to-eat treat.
