HM ELECTRONICS Wing 2S1 Smart LED Reef Light, 12-Inch, 21 W, App-Controlled

HM ELECTRONICS Wing 2S1 is a 21 W, 12-inch smart LED reef light designed for 12–18-inch saltwater aquariums, with four independently controlled channels for reef-focused lighting.

• High-output OSRAM LEDs with a four-channel spectrum — supports vivid reef viewing.
• App control with independent channel adjustment and sunrise and sunset schedules — tailor the lighting program.
• Easy Mode, six presets, lunar-cycle settings and Acclimation Mode — choose a lighting setup or ease corals into a new schedule.
• Fanless construction and IP55 water resistance — operate without fan noise and help protect against dust and everyday splashes.
• Adjustable end-mounted brackets for rimmed and rimless tanks — span the aquarium rather than clamp to one side.

Choosing reef lighting means matching the light to the aquarium’s size and the animals being kept, as well as deciding how much control is useful day to day. This Wing 2S1 version combines a 12-inch light strip with app-managed spectrum settings for saltwater aquariums. Its lighting is designed for LPS and soft corals, and it can also be used for fish-only saltwater tanks.

What aquarium setups is the Wing 2S1 designed for?

The 12-inch, 21 W version is made for tanks from 12 to 18 inches (30.48–45.72 cm) long. Its reef-focused LED spectrum is intended for LPS and soft corals, while fish-only saltwater aquariums are also within its stated use.

High-output OSRAM LEDs provide the light source, and four channels make it possible to adjust the spectrum rather than use a single fixed color setting. This gives reef keepers control over the channel balance used for their aquarium and lets them preview spectral changes in real time through the app.

• 12-inch (30.48 cm) light strip with 21 W power.
• Designed for LPS corals, soft corals and fish-only marine aquariums.
• Four-channel LED spectrum with live preview of adjustments.

How does app control work?

The app lets you adjust each of the four color channels independently and set sunrise and sunset schedules. It also supports wireless group control, so multiple compatible lights can be managed together from one app.

For a simpler starting point, Easy Mode provides a straightforward setup option. You can also select from six classic preset programs, use lunar-cycle settings, or activate Acclimation Mode to help ease corals into a new lighting schedule. The available controls let you choose between a preset program and more hands-on channel adjustment.

• Independent adjustment of all four channels.
• Sunrise and sunset schedule settings.
• Wireless group control for multiple lights through one app.

Will the brackets fit my aquarium?

Adjustable end-mounted brackets span across the aquarium and fit both rimmed and open-top rimless tanks. For this 12-inch light, the tank size range is 12–18 inches (30.48–45.72 cm); the brackets can fit tanks up to 6 inches (15.24 cm) wider than the light.

The end-mounted layout rests across the aquarium instead of clamping onto one side, making it especially suitable for rimmed tanks while also accommodating rimless setups. The Wing 2S1 range includes four light lengths and power levels: 12 inches (30.48 cm) at 21 W for 12–18-inch tanks, 24 inches (60.96 cm) at 42 W for 24–30-inch tanks, 36 inches (91.44 cm) at 63 W for 36–42-inch tanks, and 48 inches (121.92 cm) at 84 W for 48–54-inch tanks. For the 12-inch version, compare your aquarium length with the 12–18-inch fit range before choosing.

• Adjustable brackets are mounted at the light’s ends.
• Designed to fit rimmed and rimless aquariums.
• Brackets accommodate tanks up to 6 inches wider than the light.

What are the operating and protection features?

The fanless design runs without fan noise, and the IP55 water-resistant construction helps protect the light from dust and everyday aquarium splashes. These features suit placement over an aquarium where routine splashes may occur.

The light combines that construction with app-based scheduling and multiple lighting modes, so setup can be tailored through the controls rather than relying on one unchangeable program. Its stated water resistance is for everyday splashes; it is not identified as a light for submersion.

• Fanless operation.
• IP55 water-resistant construction.
• Protection against dust and everyday aquarium splashes.

The HM ELECTRONICS Wing 2S1 12-inch version suits saltwater aquarium keepers who want app-adjustable lighting for LPS or soft corals, or lighting for a fish-only marine tank. It is also a fit for rimmed and rimless aquariums within its stated length range. Its 21 W output, four-channel control and adjustable end brackets bring reef lighting and tank fit into one compact strip.
