Routine aquarium cleaning involves removing debris from gravel while managing water removal from the tank. This manual cleaner combines siphon-driven water flow with accessories for gravel washing and targeted waste suction, making it suitable for the stated range of medium and large fish tanks.

How does the hygger gravel vacuum start and clean?

The hygger aquarium gravel vacuum uses manual siphon action to move water from inside the tank to the outside, carrying impurities from sand and gravel with the flow. It does not need an electrical plug. In the fastest tested start, water flowed after three presses of the operation ball.

• The outlet clamp regulates the water flow.
• A built-in baffle helps block small fish and gravel from being sucked out.

Can it remove waste as well as wash gravel?

Yes, the hygger gravel vacuum includes a duckbill suction inlet accessory for drawing up feces, alongside the gravel-washing tube. The long hose can be used for aquarium water changes; the water level for the first press operation can be as low as 11 in (27.9 cm), and the lowest water level line can reach 0.8 in (2 cm).

• Use the duckbill inlet for targeted waste suction.
• Use the gravel tube to draw impurities through the siphon flow.

What parts and operating options are included?

The hygger aquarium cleaner has a handle-style operation ball, a gravel tube, three hard tubes, and the duckbill head. Its spliced extension tubes can be assembled in different combinations to suit the cleaning setup.

• Handle + gravel tube.
• Handle + three hard tubes + gravel tube.
• Handle + three hard tubes + gravel tube + duckbill head.

The EVA operation ball has rubber-like elasticity and can be held or pinched, giving users two ways to start the siphon with a grip designed to reduce effort. The hygger Manual 256GPH Aquarium Gravel Vacuum suits fish keepers looking for a non-electric cleaner for gravel washing, waste suction, and water changes in medium or large tanks; its manual siphon and interchangeable tube setup support those cleaning tasks.
