Filter media needs can vary by filter type, and this product is made to serve more than one setup. Use it as a D.E. alternative in D.E. filters, or to enhance the filtering performance of sand and cartridge filters. Its stated dosage varies according to filter type and filter area, so use the applicable amount below.

Which filter types can use The Filter Fiber Stuff?

Jack's Magic The Filter Fiber Stuff can be used with D.E., sand and cartridge filters. In a D.E. filter, it serves as an alternative to D.E.; with sand or cartridge filters, it is used to enhance filtering performance.

• D.E. filters: the product dosage is based on filter area.
• Cartridge filters: the product dosage is based on filter area.
• Sand filters: apply in separate amounts, within the stated maximum.

How much The Filter Fiber Stuff should I use?

Use the dose for your filter type and area. The D.E. and cartridge amounts are tied to a specified filter area; sand filter use is given as an amount per application with a maximum. These are product dosages, not interchangeable amounts across filter types.

• D.E. filters: 1 D.E. scoop per 12 sq ft (1.11 m²) of filter area.
• Cartridge filters: 3 oz (85 g) per 25 sq ft (2.32 m²) of filter area.
• Sand filters: 3 oz (85 g) at a time, with a maximum of 9 oz (255 g).

What filtration support does it provide?

Jack's Magic The Filter Fiber Stuff is designed to extend filter runs, reduce filter clogging and result in sparkling clear water. Its non-toxic formulation is safe to handle and store, while its biodegradable composition allows safe backwashing.

• The product is biodegradable.
• It can be backwashed safely.

This concentrated filter aid suits pool owners using D.E., sand or cartridge filters who want a product with filter-specific dosing and a role in supporting water clarity. It is intended for filter use rather than as a standalone water treatment; its stated purpose is to work with filtration. For D.E. filters, it is a D.E. alternative that requires less than half the amount of product needed when using D.E.
