Green water can make it harder to see into an aquarium. This compact UVC lamp is intended to help clear green water and is designed for use in a sump or filter tank, including small-filter arrangements. The stated applications also include ponds, swimming pools, shoes and dog houses; aquarium use has a specific placement warning, so follow the instructions for the intended application.

What is the JackSuper Aquarium UVC Clean Light designed to do?

It is designed to help clear green water by using a 254 nm UVC lamp. The lamp is rated at 3W, and its small format is intended for placement in a filter system rather than in the aquarium display area. It is an algae-cleaning light, not a light intended to illuminate the tank.

• Designed to help address green water.
• Also intended for stated uses including ponds and swimming pools.

Which aquarium filters and water types does it fit?

The lamp is described as suitable for most small tank filters and for both freshwater and saltwater aquariums. Its body measures 3 in x 1 in (7.62 cm x 2.54 cm), making it a mini-format option for compact filter spaces. Compare those dimensions with the space in your filter before placing it.

• Examples of compatible filter styles include low-water filters, hang-on-back filters and top filter boxes.
• Its stated applications beyond aquariums include shoes and dog houses.

Where should the UVC light be used?

For aquarium use, install the JackSuper Aquarium UVC Clean Light in a sump or filter tank; do not place it in the display tank, because the light can harm fish. Read the user manual before use. The unit has a power plug and a timer switch with on/off control.

• Electrical input: 110V, 50–60Hz.
• Use the lamp in the filter area, away from fish in the display tank.

This lamp is suited to aquarium keepers looking for a compact UVC unit to help clear green water in a small-filter setup, as well as users seeking the other stated cleaning applications. It is intended for filter or sump placement in aquariums, not use inside the fish display tank.
