• 50 teeth and a 15%-25% thinning rate — remove some bulk while leaving a softer, natural-looking finish.
• Curved blade with a convex edge — helps shape coat areas into rounded contours.
• Offset ergonomic handles — support controlled, accurate scissor movement.
• Adjustable tension screw and muffler — let you tune blade tension and reduce sound during grooming.

These thinning shears are made for dog owners grooming at home who want to shape coat areas without creating a blunt-looking cut. Their curved profile is suited to rounded shaping, while the teeth separate and thin hair for a softer finish. The handle design and adjustable tension give you control as you work through your dog’s grooming routine.

How do the curved teeth shape a dog’s coat?

The 50-tooth design has a 15%-25% thinning rate, and its large T-shaped teeth push hair away from the cutting blade. This helps create a softer, more natural finish rather than removing all the hair in a section. The slightly curved blade and sharp convex edge support precise cutting when shaping rounded areas of the coat.

• Use the curved profile for rounded coat shaping.
• The convex edge is designed for precise grooming cuts.

What makes these shears comfortable to control?

The offset handles are ergonomically shaped, with a thumb that bends slightly downward for a comfortable grip and improved control. A permanent finger rest adds a support point for balance as you guide the shears. The adjustable screw lets you fine-tune blade tension to suit your grooming needs.

• The bent-down thumb position supports the scissor grip.
• The permanent finger rest provides an additional point of control.
• The screw adjusts blade tension.

What are the blades made from, and how does the muffler help?

The blades are made from 440C stainless steel and are carefully polished and ground. This blade material and finishing process are intended to support durability and long-lasting sharpness. A built-in muffler reduces noise levels during use, which may help ease sound-related stress for your dog.

• 440C stainless steel blades.
• Polished and ground blade finish.
• Noise-reducing muffler built into the shears.

JASON Curved Dog Thinning Scissors suit dog owners who want to thin and shape coat areas at home with curved, controllable shears. Their 50 teeth, adjustable tension, ergonomic handle details, and noise-reducing muffler make them a focused choice for rounded shaping and a softer coat finish.
