JAX PLANET Two-Way Martingale Dog Collar, Black, Reflective with Quick-Release Buckle

The JAX PLANET Martingale Collar is a black dog collar designed to help guide dogs that pull or back out, with a two-loop control design and a quick-release metal buckle.

• Two-way martingale action — responds to forward pulling and attempts to back out with gentle tightening.
• Polished silver alloy quick-release buckle — makes the collar quick to put on and remove.
• Nylon with reinforced stitching and metal hardware — made for daily walks, leash training and repeated pulls.
• Reflective stitching — improves visibility during walks in low light.
• Adjustment loop and control loop — allow you to set the fit and provide martingale control.

For dogs that pull on the leash or try to reverse out of a collar, this martingale design adds responsive control for everyday outings and leash training. Its two loops work with leash movement, while the buckle makes it practical to put on and take off between walks.

How does the two-way martingale control work?

When a dog pulls forward, the collar gently tightens to provide pressure feedback; when a dog backs up, the control loop tightens upward to help reduce the risk of slipping out. This gives the handler a more secure connection during walks and can support calmer leash training. The collar is designed to guide with gentle tightening rather than remain loose when a dog pulls or reverses.

• Responds to forward pulling as well as backing up.
• Helps keep the dog connected to the leash during an attempt to slip out.

What materials and fastening does this collar use?

The JAX PLANET collar is made from nylon with reinforced stitching and metal hardware, including a polished silver alloy quick-release buckle. Set the collar’s fit using its adjustment loop, then use the buckle to put it on or remove it without repeatedly resizing it like many slip-on collars. Reflective stitching adds visibility in low-light conditions, and the black collar with silver hardware has a clean, practical look for daily wear.

• Quick-release fastening for easier on-and-off use.
• Reflective stitching for low-light walks.

How should I measure my dog for a martingale collar?

Measure your dog’s neck before choosing a fit, because a martingale collar fits differently from a standard flat collar. It has both an adjustment loop and a control loop, so the neck measurement helps you set the collar appropriately. For narrow-headed breeds such as Greyhounds, Whippets and Salukis, also measure around the head or behind the ears to check that the collar can pass over that area.

• Measure the neck before selecting the collar.
• For narrow-headed breeds, check the behind-the-ear or head measurement too.

This collar is suited to handlers looking for two-way leash control for dogs that pull forward or try to back out, including narrow-headed breeds when measured for fit. Its nylon construction, reflective stitching and quick-release metal buckle make it a practical choice for daily walks and leash training.
