Dogs need outlets for instinctive chewing and engaging play. The KONG Extreme is designed to provide mental stimulation and help meet those needs, while offering an activity for play sessions at home or a game of fetch. Its hollow shape also gives caregivers a way to make play more challenging by adding food or treats.

What is the KONG Extreme designed for?

The KONG Extreme is made for power-chewing dogs and designed to support chewing instincts and mental stimulation. Its black natural rubber formula is KONG’s strongest, and the toy is intended to help address chewing, teething, and boredom, as well as behaviours such as digging and barking. It can also be used as part of crate training, giving dogs an engaging toy-based activity in that setting. These are enrichment uses, not a promise that the toy will stop a behaviour.

• Made for dogs with strong chewing habits.
• Supports instinctual chewing and offers an engaging activity.
• Recommended by veterinarians and trainers worldwide.

Can the KONG Extreme be filled with food?

Yes. The hollow interior can hold kibble, peanut butter, KONG Snacks, or KONG Easy Treat. Filling the toy adds a food-focused challenge, and freezing a stuffed KONG can extend the activity. Use the filling to create a more involved play session, whether your dog is working at the toy independently or enjoying an interactive activity with you.

• Suitable fillings include kibble, peanut butter, KONG Snacks, and KONG Easy Treat.
• A stuffed toy can be frozen for a longer-lasting activity.
• The hollow design gives dogs a treat-finding challenge as well as a chew toy.

How does the KONG Extreme work for play and cleanup?

The KONG Extreme has an erratic, unpredictable bounce that brings an element of surprise to fetch and other interactive play. The movement can keep dogs engaged as they chase and retrieve it, while the toy’s shape also supports treat-stuffing play. When play is over, the toy is dishwasher safe, making routine cleanup straightforward.

• Use the unpredictable bounce for fetch and shared play.
• Made in the USA with globally sourced materials.
• KONG has developed pet toys and treats since 1976.

This pack is intended for people shopping for a chew and enrichment toy for a large dog, especially a dog that enjoys chewing, food-based challenges, or fetch. Each KONG Extreme combines KONG’s strongest natural rubber formula with a stuffable hollow interior and an unpredictable bounce, giving large dogs several ways to engage with the toy.
