KOOLTAIL Large Dog Whelping Pad, 72 x 72 in Waterproof Plush Reusable Mat

KOOLTAIL is a washable, waterproof dog whelping pad designed to keep large dogs comfortable while managing potty-training and other everyday accidents, in a 72 x 72 in (182.88 x 182.88 cm) size.

• Absorbs liquid 2–3x faster than standard options — helps reduce wetness on the pad’s surface.
• Moisture-locking core — helps prevent liquid from seeping back to the surface.
• Thick plush fleece — handles multiple accidents between changes.
• Machine washable at 30–40°C with regular detergent — supports repeated use.
• Non-shedding fibers and anti-static treatment — made with pets in mind.

Potty training, whelping and caring for senior dogs can mean frequent cleanups and a need for a comfortable place to rest. This reusable mat combines an absorbent surface with a soft lounging area, making it suitable for a whelping box, playpen or crate as well as day-to-day use around the home.

What is the KOOLTAIL pad designed for?

It is made for potty training and for providing a cushioned resting spot for large dogs, puppies and senior pets. The fleece surface is soft against sensitive skin and joints and offers a warm place to lie down. The moisture-locking construction is intended to help keep paws and fur from contacting liquid at the surface, which can also help reduce urine being tracked onto carpets.

• Suitable for use in a whelping box, playpen or crate.
• Can serve as a lounging mat as well as a potty pad.
• Designed for young or elderly pets, including dogs with sensitive skin.

How does the pad manage liquid?

The pad’s absorbent construction takes in liquid quickly and helps keep it from returning to the top when a pet steps or lies on it. KOOLTAIL’s stated comparison is absorption 2–3x faster than standard options; this is designed to reduce surface wetness and the mess that can follow. The moisture-locking core also helps limit leak-back, while the waterproof design helps protect the area beneath the pad.

• Built to manage multiple accidents before a change is needed.
• Helps keep paws dry and reduce urine tracking.
• Intended to help lower the risk of skin issues associated with damp contact.

How do you clean and reuse it?

Wash the KOOLTAIL pad in a machine at 30–40°C using regular detergent, then reuse it. Its construction is designed to resist clumping, shrinking and pilling through washing, making it practical for routines that require repeated cleanup. The fibers are non-shedding and have an anti-static treatment.

• Reusable rather than a single-use potty pad.
• Machine-wash care at the stated temperature range.
• Thick fleece is designed to withstand repeated use.

Will the size suit your dog’s area?

The pad measures 72 x 72 in (182.88 x 182.88 cm), giving it a broad square coverage area for larger dogs and roomy enclosures. Compare that measurement with the floor space in your whelping box, playpen or crate to confirm the fit. Its large format can cover a resting or potty area, while the plush fleece provides a soft surface for pets to settle on.

• Square format for broad floor coverage.
• Designed for large dogs and use in pet enclosures.

The KOOLTAIL pad is best suited to pet owners who want a reusable, washable surface for potty training, whelping, senior-dog care or post-surgery rest. Its large square size, absorbent core and warm fleece surface bring liquid management and a comfortable resting place together in one mat.
