Kurgo Auto Zip Line Dog Car Restraint Tether for Backseat Travel

The Kurgo Auto Zip Line is a vehicle restraint for dogs that keeps your pet out of the front seat while allowing back-and-forth movement and the ability to sit or stand.

• Zip-line design — lets your dog move along the line and change position while restrained.
• Attaches between two fixed points in a vehicle — suits options such as two seatbelts, ceiling handles or an SUV cargo area.
• Adjustable leash connects and disconnects from the line — makes it easy to transition between car restraint and walking leash.
• Includes the zip line, adjustable leash or tether, and two carabiners — provides the core components for setup and connection.
• Works best with a dog car harness, such as the Kurgo Tru-fit Smart Harness, sold separately — pairs the restraint with a harness.
• Protected against manufacturer defects when purchased new from an authorized dealer — includes Kurgo’s stated product protection.

Dogs can shift position during a car ride, and an unrestrained pet may move toward the driver or jump out when a door opens. The Auto Zip Line is made to keep a dog restrained while allowing some movement, helping keep the pet out of the front seat and reducing driver distraction. It is designed for vehicle travel, with a quick-release connection that also supports the transition out of the car.

How does the Kurgo Auto Zip Line work in a vehicle?

The Kurgo Auto Zip Line stretches between two fixed points in the vehicle, and its moving carabiner lets the attached leash travel along the line. This gives a restrained dog room to move back and forth, sit or stand without being able to reach the front seat. The restraint is also designed to help prevent a dog from jumping out when a vehicle door is open.

• Possible anchor points include two seatbelts, side ceiling handles or points in an SUV cargo area.
• The large carabiner moves along the zip line; the second carabiner is at the end of the leash.

What comes with the Kurgo Auto Zip Line?

The Kurgo Auto Zip Line package contains the zip line, an adjustable leash or tether, and two carabiners. One carabiner slides along the line, while the other connects at the leash end. The adjustable leash connects to and disconnects from the zip line, allowing a switch from vehicle restraint to walking leash when getting in or out of the car.

• The leash is adjustable.
• The carabiners have different roles: one travels on the line and one is attached to the leash end.

Which harness works with the Kurgo Auto Zip Line?

The Kurgo Auto Zip Line works best with a dog car harness; the Kurgo Tru-fit Smart Harness is one example and is sold separately. Use the restraint with a harness rather than treating the adjustable leash as a standalone car harness. Installation and fit depend on having two suitable fixed points in the vehicle to attach the webbed strap.

• Choose two fixed vehicle points for the zip line before attaching the leash.
• The harness is not included in the Auto Zip Line package.

The Kurgo Auto Zip Line suits dog owners who want their pet restrained in the vehicle while retaining room for back-and-forth movement and an easy changeover to a walking leash. It is intended to work with a dog car harness and two fixed vehicle attachment points. Kurgo products are built for life and protected against manufacturer defects when purchased new from authorized dealers. For a dog-car setup with a harness, the Auto Zip Line combines a moving restraint line with an adjustable, detachable leash.
