Dogs heading out in cool weather need an extra layer that leaves room to move. The Core Sweater is made for everyday walks, hikes and relaxing at home, with an athletic shape intended to avoid bunching or restricting movement. Its Heather Violet color gives the vest a distinctive look, while its adjustable openings help tailor the fit around your dog.

What is the Kurgo Core Sweater designed for?

It provides a soft, substantial layer of warmth for cool-weather activity and can be worn alone or underneath another coat when temperatures drop further. The 10 oz knitted fleece is the sweater’s material, and the athletic cut is designed for dogs that need freedom of movement while walking or exploring. It is also suitable for quieter time indoors, including lounging by the fireside. The vest format keeps the focus on adding a layer without describing it as a full-body coat.

• Made for cool-weather walks, hikes and lounging.
• Can be used as a standalone sweater or a mid-layer with another coat.
• Athletic cut is designed not to bunch or inhibit movement.

Can you attach a leash while the sweater is on?

Yes. A two-way zipper runs along the back and gives access to leash attachment points on either a harness or a collar. This lets the sweater work with either attachment setup for everyday outings. The neck zipper and soft hook-and-loop chest closure adjust the fit, and the chest closure is designed to resist irritation. Adjust the openings around your dog for a secure, comfortable fit before heading out.

• Back zipper accommodates harness or collar leash attachments.
• Zippered neck opening and hook-and-loop chest closure allow fit adjustment.

How should you choose the Extra Large size?

Choose Extra Large for a dog with a 26 in (66 cm) neck and a 35–45 in (89–114 cm) chest. Measure your dog and compare those measurements with the size range before choosing; Kurgo recommends using its size chart to measure correctly. The zippered neck opening provides an adjustment point, while the chest closure also allows the fit to be set around your dog. These measurements are the fit guidance for this size, rather than a weight range.

• Neck: 26 in (66 cm).
• Chest: 35–45 in (89–114 cm).
• Use Kurgo’s size chart alongside your dog’s measurements.

How do you care for the sweater, and what details help outdoors?

The Kurgo Core Sweater is machine washable, making it simple to clean after regular use. Reflective accents are included to improve visibility in low light, a useful detail for early-morning or evening walks. These accents support visibility but do not replace attentive supervision outdoors. Kurgo backs its products with a lifetime warranty, so the sweater is covered by the brand’s stated warranty.

• Machine washable.
• Reflective details are intended to improve low-light visibility.
• Kurgo lifetime warranty.

The Kurgo Core Sweater suits dog owners looking for a movement-focused layer for cool-weather walks, trails or relaxing at home, especially when harness or collar access matters. Extra Large is intended for dogs within its stated neck and chest measurements, and the vest can be worn alone or beneath another coat.
