• Ventilated mesh back and sides, plus a zip-open mesh top — lets air circulate and gives your dog an opening to look out.
• Interior swivel tether attaches to your pet’s harness — helps keep your dog connected inside the carrier.
• Padded laptop compartment, two water bottle holders and zippered storage — makes room for everyday gear alongside your pet.
• Water-resistant fabric top and waterproof Armorsole bottom — help protect the pack and make wipe-clean care easier.
• Lifetime warranty from Kurgo — backs the pack with the manufacturer’s stated warranty.

The G-Train is made for people who want to bring a dog along on a hike or trip while carrying personal essentials in the same pack. Its carrier compartment combines with features associated with a daypack, so you can carry your pet and organize gear without treating the pack as a pet carrier alone. The mesh top opens and rolls out of the way, giving your dog a view while the ventilated panels provide airflow.

What size dog fits in the Kurgo G-Train?

The G-Train is designed for pets weighing up to 25 lb (11.3 kg), and the backpack measures 13"W x 21"H x 10"D (33.02 x 53.34 x 25.4 cm). Use both the weight limit and the pack’s external dimensions to assess whether it suits your dog and carrying needs. The listed capacity is a weight limit, not a promise that every pet at that weight will have the same fit.

• Maximum pet weight: 25 lb (11.3 kg).
• Pack dimensions: 13"W x 21"H x 10"D (33.02 x 53.34 x 25.4 cm).

How does the carrier keep a pet inside?

An interior swivel tether attaches to your pet’s harness, while mesh panels are built into the back and sides. The carrier compartment has a zip-open mesh top that rolls neatly out of the way, allowing your dog to look out while riding in the pack. Connect the tether to a harness, rather than relying on a collar, as the tether is designed to attach to a pet’s harness.

• Ventilated mesh on the back and sides.
• Zip-open top panel rolls out of the way.
• Interior swivel tether attaches to a harness.

Can the G-Train carry everyday gear as well?

Yes. Along with the pet compartment, the pack has a padded laptop compartment, two water bottle holders and multiple zippered storage areas. Sewn-in fiberglass support rods add structure, and a hip belt with an adjustable sternum strap provides additional support for longer hikes. Stow the shoulder straps away to use the pack as a carrier, with top and front grab handles for carrying it by hand.

• Padded laptop compartment.
• Two water bottle holders and zippered storage.
• Stow-away shoulder straps, top handle and front handle.

How do you clean the Kurgo G-Train?

The water-resistant fabric top and waterproof Armorsole bottom are stain-resistant and can be wiped clean. The interior pad is removable and machine-washable, so you can clean that part separately. The pack is also TSA approved, making it suitable for TSA-approved travel; this designation does not replace checking that your pet and travel plans meet applicable requirements.

• Wipe-clean exterior materials.
• Removable interior pad is machine-washable.
