Kurgo G-Train Pet Carrier Backpack, Navy Blue, Ventilated for Hiking

The Kurgo G-Train Pet Carrier Backpack is a hiking and travel pack for dogs up to 25 lb (11.3 kg), with ventilated mesh panels and a 13"W x 21"H x 10"D (33 x 53.3 x 25.4 cm) design.

• Fits pets up to 25 lb — gives small dogs a dedicated space in the pack.
• Ventilated mesh back and sides, plus a zip-open mesh top — provides airflow and lets pets look out.
• Interior swivel tether — attaches to a pet’s harness.
• Water-resistant fabric top and waterproof Armorsole bottom — help manage wet and dirty conditions.
• Removable, machine-washable interior pad — makes routine cleanup easier.
• TSA approved and backed by Kurgo’s lifetime warranty — supports travel use and long-term ownership.

For hikes and other trips with a dog, the G-Train combines a pet compartment with practical daypack storage. Its mesh top opens and rolls out of the way, while the back and side mesh panels provide ventilation. The pack also has space for everyday carry items, so pet gear and personal essentials can travel together.

Which pets fit in the Kurgo G-Train?

The carrier is designed for pets weighing up to 25 lb, and the pack measures 13 inches wide, 21 inches high, and 10 inches deep. Compare your pet’s fit with these exterior dimensions when choosing a carrier. The zip-open mesh top can roll away to create an open view from the compartment.

• Ventilated mesh panels are located on the back and sides.
• An interior swivel tether connects to your pet’s harness.

What storage does the backpack provide?

The G-Train has a padded laptop compartment, two water bottle holders, and multiple zippered storage areas. These separate storage features make room for personal items alongside the pet compartment. Sewn-in fiberglass support rods add structure to the pack.

• The laptop compartment is padded.
• The pack includes two water bottle holders.
• Zippered storage keeps additional items contained.

How does the G-Train carry on hikes and trips?

An adjustable sternum strap and hip belt are designed to add comfort on longer hikes. When carrying the pack by hand, stow-away shoulder straps let it convert into a carrier with top and front grab handles. Kurgo identifies the G-Train as TSA approved.

• Shoulder straps stow away for carrier-style handling.
• Top and front grab handles provide hand-carry options.

How do you clean the Kurgo G-Train?

The pack has a water-resistant fabric top and a waterproof Armorsole bottom, and its stain-resistant surfaces can be wiped clean. The interior pad is removable and machine-washable, giving you a separate way to clean the area your pet rests on.

• Wipe-clean surfaces help with everyday messes.
• Remove the interior pad for machine washing.

The Kurgo G-Train suits dog owners who want a carrier with integrated storage for hikes and travel, especially when their pet is within the 25 lb weight limit. Its mesh ventilation, harness tether, structured pack design, and hand-carry conversion make it a pet carrier backpack built for carrying both a dog and everyday essentials.
