A hide needs to fit both the enclosure and the snake using it. This XL size is intended for adult ball pythons and other snakes, so measuring before choosing helps you assess the available space and entrance for your specific setup. The top-seal design also makes this hide a useful choice when you want to improve humidity within its covered area.

What are the hide and entrance dimensions?

The entrance measures 4.4 × 3.54 in (11.2 × 9 cm), and the hide is suitable for adult ball pythons and other snakes. Compare the entrance with your snake’s size, and check the terrarium dimensions against the hide’s overall footprint before ordering. These checks help you judge both access and placement together, rather than relying on the XL name alone.

• Check the available terrarium space against the hide’s stated overall dimensions.
• Compare the entrance opening with your snake’s size.

What is the hide made from, and what is its design like?

The Leoterra hide is made from plastic and has rounded edges. Its plastic construction is durable and easy to clean, and the hide has no smell. The design is also intended to be attractive, combining these practical details in a single covered shelter.

• Rounded edges are part of the hide’s shape.
• The plastic hide has no smell.
• Its surface is easy to clean.

How do I choose a size for my snake?

For a reptile weighing less than 150 g, size M is enough; for one weighing more than 200 g, choose size L or XL. The Leoterra XL hide is the option in this listing for adult ball pythons and other snakes. Use the weight guidance alongside the entrance and enclosure measurements when deciding whether this size suits your animal and terrarium.

• Below 150 g: size M is enough.
• Above 200 g: choose size L or XL.

This hide is best suited to keepers choosing an XL shelter for an adult ball python or another snake, with room to compare the enclosure, opening and animal before ordering. Its stated dimensions, entrance size and weight guidance support a more considered fit choice, while the top seal helps improve humidity in the covered area.
