Ley's Cat Deterrent Mat, 18-Pack 16 x 13 in Spiked Pet Training Mats

Ley's Cat Scat Mat is an indoor and outdoor pet-deterrent mat designed to keep cats and dogs away from restricted areas, with 18 trimmable mats measuring 16 x 13 in (40.6 x 33 cm) each.

• 18 mats, with coverage of up to 26 sq ft (2.4 m²) — protect multiple areas or create a broader barrier.
• Non-toxic plastic spikes designed to cause mild discomfort without harm — redirect pets without harsh methods.
• For indoor and outdoor use — place mats on furniture, countertops, patios, gardens, or around plants.
• Trimmable mats and detachable connectors — shape the coverage to suit the area and join mats together.
• Hook-and-loop fastening accessories — secure mats in place and remove them when they are not needed.

Pets can wander onto furniture, work surfaces, or garden areas you want to keep undisturbed. Ley's mats provide a physical boundary for those spots, using a spiked surface that pets instinctively avoid. Place them where access needs to be discouraged, whether the concern is a sofa indoors or plants outside. The design supports everyday redirection without shouting or harsh correction.

What areas can Ley's Cat Scat Mat help protect?

Use the mats in indoor or outdoor areas where you want to discourage cats and dogs from entering. They are suitable for spots such as countertops, furniture, patios, gardens, flower beds, and areas around potted plants. The flexible layout lets you protect a single target area or connect mats to extend the barrier across a wider space.

• Indoor placements include sofas, tables, and countertops.
• Outdoor placements include gardens and areas around plants.
• Coverage can extend up to 26 sq ft (2.4 m²).

How do the spikes deter pets?

The plastic spikes create a surface pets find uncomfortable, encouraging them to avoid the protected area. The mats are made from non-toxic plastic, and the spikes are designed to cause mild discomfort without harming pets. This physical approach is intended to redirect access rather than rely on shouting or harsh methods.

• Made for pet training and access deterrence.
• Designed for cats and dogs, as well as keeping other animals away.
• Suitable for placing in the areas where unwanted access occurs.

Can I adjust the mats to fit my space?

Yes. Cut the mats with scissors to tailor their shape to the area, or use the detachable connectors to join multiple mats. Hook-and-loop fastening accessories help hold a mat in place, and the fastening setup also allows removal when protection is not needed. No tools are needed for placement; use scissors only if you want to trim a mat.

• Trim mats to suit the space using scissors.
• Connect mats to expand the protected area.
• Use the fastening accessories for installation and removal.

Ley's Cat Scat Mat suits pet owners who want a flexible way to discourage cats or dogs from entering specific household or garden areas. It is made for placing as a surface barrier, with coverage that can be arranged, connected, or trimmed to suit the spot. Its plastic spikes provide a discomfort-based deterrent without harsh correction.
