Aquarium water needs mechanical, chemical, and biological filtration to maintain a clean aquatic environment. The Penguin PRO 450 is made for aquarium hobbyists who want those three filtration stages and adjustable flow in a single power filter.

How does the Penguin PRO 450 filter aquarium water?

It combines mechanical, chemical, and biological filtration, with BIO-Wheel technology providing wet/dry biological filtration. The wheel supports nitrifying bacteria growth, helping eliminate toxic ammonia and nitrate quickly.

• Mechanical filtration handles the mechanical stage.
• Chemical filtration adds a separate stage to the filtration process.
• The BIO-Wheel supplies wet/dry biological filtration.
